Torn between Joe and GX and ultimately went with GX.

The Kyrie, PG, and Hayward acquisitions were all huge wins. PG trade was anti-consensus, and he got Kyrie for what was in retrospect great value. The Herro move was so bad I almost pulled the vote, but on net I think the Lakers did the most to improve their team.

Joe has a classic GMOTY case and amazing worst-to-first pivot. FBB Gods do deserve some praise, too, though.

Kipke is my low-key wildcard shout out. He won every trade by a longshot. Don't forget about those moves when he's a candidate in two years.

I voted for Joe. Not many if any GMs can go from 2nd worst in the league to 2nd in the league. I think people underestimated how good Whiteside and Bledsoe are and they have been amazing contributors. Joe made a bunch of moves without giving up Ja or any of his owns picks including additional ammunition. I almost went in a different direction because of the weird Meg obsession but we move on... Congrats Joe!

Voted Joe. 11 wins to 56 wins is diabolical stuff. I don’t really care if he had some FA luck. One or two studs does not make a good team. As someone who has tried going worst-to-first, it’s incredibly hard, and Joe nailed it.

Vote went to Joe. Lotto to top contender. Savvy FA moves (mixed with luck, granted, but needed to put himself in right spot with offers) and savvy trades

I changed my vote to GX bc now my vote matters and George deserves it more than Joe.

Joe lucked into Looney and Harden and ur not gonna tell me different.

George completely did everything in his power to in trades to boost himself this year.

Whats the quote? Fuck them picks

Oh and George completely revamped his wing depth in a single day that has him primed for the postseason.

Voted GX. A great turnaround for a franchise that had been a long time tanker, and did it in a year when the division was as competitive as it's ever been. Also did a nice job to rebound from a slow start and fill holes as the season went on and come from behind to take the division. The Herro trade hurts but on aggregate he added a lot of championship equity with his moves, including the PG one (not bitter at all about his late career full 180)
I miss Manu

Cynical people (I see you) would have written a soliloquy for some random person who didn’t have a chance.

Happens every year!
