MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Chris Bosh. Everything as advertised. Total monster. 10/10 would trade for again.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Bosh. Not just the blocks, but the steals as well. And yes it's not defense, but 1.3 topg at high volume usage is pretty dope too.

MOST IMPROVED: Andre Drummond. In the same minutes as prior year, was +40% blocks and -25% turnovers. Hoping for another pop going into year 3!

SIXTH MAN: Deron Williams. Was a total flamethrower off the bench for the entire year. He heard the haters and embraced his new role as a microwave.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Brandon Roy holding it down at the 3. Another much maligned player who had a great year (second best efficiency year of his career).

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Me. The coach. Taking too long to figure out the ideal DC for this team. Turns out winning is a lot harder (and has a lot more depth) than losing.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Gotta be Bosh!

REGRETS: Not using preseason #2 in a more intelligent way to get one more DC cycle before the season starts.

Can't wait for the next season!!!!

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Eddy Curry. Still an absolute lord who smashes people on both sides of the ball. Was hoping Blake would jump Eddy but he is not there quite yet.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Shaun Livingston. Livingston is a beast on def and continues to be integral to the team's success. He couldn't clamp TP in the playoffs this year but generally does an incredible job.

MOST IMPROVED: Blake Griffin. Really nice jump in ratings and decent jump in production this season. First team all SLN for the first time in his career too!

SIXTH MAN: David Lee. He is fine and we don't have much depth. This year was a good example of how we fall apart when any starter goes down.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Hmm not a lot of surprises. Would have been nice to make it a bit deeper in the playoffs but the West was so stacked this year. I really thought it was a coin flip between the top 4 teams but think the best team came out on top.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Al Farouq Aminu. Wasted 3600 RP (maybe). At least he resigned for cheap so I can hold out hope that he becomes competent in this years TC.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: N/A. Was content to run the championship squad back so didn't make any moves besides Aminu.

REGRETS: None! Hope to squeeze out a few more seasons of competing for titles with Eddy and Tmac! Excited to give it another go

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Tyson Chandler. 2.6 blocks and 11.3 RPG. Doesn't like shooting. Continues to have a useful rear

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: See above

MOST IMPROVED: Steve Francis. Rocked out at the 2. Got turnovers down to 2 a game, great volume with 46% efficiency.

SIXTH MAN: Derrick Favors until Nocioni got injured. He is 2 good TCs away from being a useful player

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Rudy Fernandez breaking out on the grizz. Consider me surprised

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Losing lotto odds tiebreaker to Lakers who then jumped two spots. But I have been excited for capela since seeing his draft profile

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Trading tayshaun for a future pick felt like a great win-win trade for me and Steven. The Rudy/Thabeet trade for 2 picks seemed like a loss for most of the season, but the picks ended up being #16 and #22 in a pretty good draft

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Paul Pierce (for the time I had him). Guy lives up to the hype. Was like pulling teeth trying to trade him away mostly because of the size of his salary and other GMs threatening that he would retire (he didn't) but he played amazing and the roster just wasn't up to snuff yet. He was pretty much free so whatever. Thanks for your contributions Mr. Truth.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Second Team All-Defense league leader in steals Richard Rubio. There were times he won me games and times he lost me games but he stole the ball all of the time. If I had kept up the very fast pace all season I wonder if he could have averaged four a game.

MOST IMPROVED: Gordon Hayward. My guy took his sweet time but he finally had the type of shooting TC he needed to join the ranks of the efficient. Was glad to re-sign him and also glad not to have to give him a six year max. We'll see if he can pull it off two years in a row.

SIXTH MAN: I guess Steven Adams, mostly because he magically healed Rubio like three different times, not because of his production. Think he's gonna turn out to be a pretty good starter, but if he doesn't he'll always have great bench functionality. Grain God Junior won ROTM in the final month in a more featured bench role, too, which was exciting to see. Looking forward to giving both these lads more minutes as sophomores.

BIGGEST SURPRISE:That we still sucked? Nah, not really. It was kind of a low-stakes season where I was trying to value churn as much as I could. I guess it was Rubio's defensive leap - averaging four steals for like 70 days was pretty nuts. Wish he had made a shooting leap, but he has plenty of TC juice left and should eventually get there.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Draymond. Feels like he will eventually TC himself into a good player, but was hoping to see gains from him last season and there weren't any tangible ones I could observe. He became the odd man out of our prospects and I hope it doesn't come back to haunt me. Don't worry RB, I will go dust off the ol' sliding shorts and cup next time I see you in the playoffs.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: I'm not gonna say Lou Williams since that was this off-season — I think I'd probably go with Taj Gibson, who played pretty well after we got him and looks like a super useful rotation player. Loved Taj IRL but had low expectations so was happy with that pickup — he's probably going to be the starter at PF next season now, barring something unexpected.

REGRETS: None really, it wasn't a real tanking year because we were way too good to get into the bottom five, but the only reason we feigned competitiveness was because Pierce and Kwame were free and I wanted to unclutter some of the extra salary to have cap space this off-season (which then became Lou, welcome back king). Felt like we probably would have picked seventh or eighth in the draft whether or not I had picked up the better players, so think it was probably a needed season of patience (even though it was boring).

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Kevin Durant - duh! 30-8 with 2.7 stocks, I love this man.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: LaMarcus Aldridge - 3 stocks, 12.5 boards, fouls out opposing bigs.

MOST IMPROVED: Ersan Ilyasova - haven't seen as many Ilyasova jokes recently, which makes sense considering his per 36 is 25-10 with strong true shooting.

SIXTH MAN: Ersan Ilyasova - see above.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Oberto - mans was thriving at 38 years old.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Haven't had a positive TC in ages.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Sefolosha - he essentially fills the big butt role at the guard position.

REGRETS: Beating prime Lebron only to lose to rookie contract Kyrie.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Brandon Knight! Our tank would not have been nearly as successful if Steve Blake did not go down with a couple of major injuries, allowing Brandon Knight to rise to the occasion and tank us to the third odds!

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: We did not play a whole lot of defense last year but think I will go with Boris Diaw just purely based on over the hood ratings. Big Bore has sexy ratings, but make no mistake, he sucks ass from a straw.

MOST IMPROVED: Amare Stoudamire? He had some crazy games when I made him an option, fun but flawed player!

SIXTH MAN: Boris! The ultimate sixth man for a tanker! He does it all besides score efficiency, get stocks, and hold onto the ball! And he can play 5 positions poorly!

BIGGEST SURPRISE:Shabazz not being really really bad his rookie year? He might have bad handles but his D handling is a sign he just doesn't pass because he was an option a lot of the year and didnt turn it over. He also wasn't totally inefficient so im excited to see if his potential takes.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Not trading Gortat earlier to Scoops. Greenie offered me a nice package before I was set on tanking... wish I took that in hindsight because I got less value from Bobby.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Trading Mike Conley for SoNick's future ;)

REGRETS: NONE WE GOT JOKER

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Boban Marjanovic - Even though Tony Parker and Dwyane Wade were our two best players, the operative word here is VALUABLE. Without Boban, D-Wade and Tony don't have the confidence and chemistry to lead this squad of men to the promised land.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Dwyane Wade -2 steals, 1 block, suffocating defense, ability to play multiple positions. Perfection. Could have also gone to Metta or Deng.

MOST IMPROVED: Jason Thompson. Dude went from an LLE signing to a critical portion of our playoff rotation.

SIXTH MAN: Boban Marjanovic. Could have also nominated Metta or Deng or Thompson, but Boban was unleashed as a 6th man.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: See: most improved, above.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: None, really! Some regular season injuries were annoying and Kris Hump Dump sucked during our entire playoff run, but now he's gone. FBB gave us lots of luck and good vibes during the playoffs, and for that we are eternally grateful.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Tony Parker / Dwyane Wade. But the biggest acquisition was the elevation of Boban to our squad of men.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Klay. He is dope. I very much enjoy him.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Bogut. Shored up the front court though not enough.

MOST IMPROVED: Bradley Beal. Hyper upped his efficiency by the end of the year. A outside with 40% from 3 at age 21. Now just need the volume to go up.

SIXTH MAN: Jamal Sampson. Great third big. Very stocky. Great contract. I likeeeee (Borat voice)

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Probably Dame's TO issues going backwards. Handle camp incoming. That or that we were worse with Dirk than KG (I underestimated KG defensive impact).

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Garnett/Duncan production / how the team worked with those two. Dirk retiring. Lillard TO issues. Dirk issue was biggest problem. Was really counting on Dirk being around another year to either play a big role with a new DC or at bare minimum matching in a trade.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: NOT Dirk lmao. Bogut probably. Hefty price tag but was well worth it.

REGRETS: Hmm. Not figuring out the DC probably. Overpaying for Duncan. One of those two.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Dipo! Rookie of the year and one of two guys (along with Trey Burke) who wasn’t horrendous

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Dipo. Two steals per game as a rookie with good positional defense. He’s going to be a two way stud sooner than later.

MOST IMPROVED: N/A. This team was gross outside of our two rookies.

SIXTH MAN: Teodosic. This one’s by default since nobody else played enough to merit inclusion

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Landing Embiid at #1. I’ve never won a draft lotto before. Was torn between Embiid and Joker for a while but preferred Embiid’s scouts + got lucky with his hidden stip. Joker’s going to be a god too. Happy for tpain

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: N/A

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Gutting our roster

REGRETS: None!!!

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Kyrie - post supercamp and a strong TC, he may be the best player in the league

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Diop turned in another solid year in a career full of them. 11.2 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 0.6 steals per game while barely ever shooting (3.0PPG) nor turning the ball over (0.8 per game)

MOST IMPROVED: Kyrie again here. the supercamp really set him over the top to where he is now scoring in volume (32.1PPG) while still shooting insanely efficiently (51.4% / 46.3% / 89.6%). Runnerup here though would be Kent Bazemore - I think he may be turning into a solid defensive / stocky 2/3 type of player, as, on a per36 basis, he jumped up to 7.2 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 0.4 blocks. not earth shattering, but could remain a solid backup role player if he keeps progressing and stays cheap.

SIXTH MAN: Either JO in his final season or Hedo once I moved him to the backup 2/3 later in the season. On a per36 basis, JO was doing 13.0 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, and a steal, backing up the 4/5 spots - he will be missed in Detroit. Hedo was great too in his offensive backup role - per36, he was scoring 22.4PPG on 46.9%FG / 49.0%3P splits while also grabbing 5.6 rebounds and nearing a 1:1 STOCK:TO ratio.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: I thought we'd be a good team and I still think our regular season record should have been better if not for some spotty injuries and Kyrie sitting out some time. But making it all the way to the Finals was really incredible. Best Pistons team in SLN history without a doubt.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: The Game 7 loss. The Kings were probably the better team but it can be a coin flip in a single game so it would have been awesome if it went my way. But still really proud of the season the guys put together and hoping to sustain success going forward.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: I know he's a bit controversial based on his profile relative to salary, but I like Pau and the move to flip Dirk and some RP into Pau, Batum (who became Hedo), and Aminu (who became JO) was huge for the Pistons and the success we had last year.

REGRETS: completely ignoring defense. Hedo had an awesome year but was a defensive liability at the 3 so I ultimately moved Okur into the starting 3 spot but he has his own issues playing defense at the 3 as well. that said, we had a hell of a run so can't really complain!
