Notes for "the Other Guys"
Centers
Chris Mihm - Very strong. Good rebounder. Decent jump shot. Takes care of the ball and might block some shots. Not a good defender.
Primoz Brezec - Raw and unproven. Scouts were high on him a few seasons ago. Showed flashes of brilliance scoring in the post. Takes care of the ball but struggles to do the two things people usually want from their bigs. Defend and board.
Jason Collier - Very good scoring big man that gets some boards. Great jump shot. Very strong but pretty slow. Stock-deficient.
Etan Thomas - Very Maglorian with less upside. Good rebounder but probably blocks a little less.
Olumide Oyedeji - Excellent rebounder with some stocks. Negative offense.
Ratko Varda - Good shot-blocker.
Power Forwards
Eduardo Najera - Very pesky defender. Gets steals. Strong rebounder. Not entirely incapable of scoring in the paint. Takes care of the ball.
Brian Cardinal - Shoots and boards. Very smooth jump shot. Smart with the ball, might get some steals, and decent strength/quickness. Should be a nice rotation big.
Stromile Swift - Decent athlete that can block some shots. Very lost on offense. Decent defender who can board a little. Handle concerns.
Marcus Fizer - Nightmare in the paint. Scores at will 4-6 ft from the basket. Excellent strength and decent handling. Putrid defender.
Malik Allen - Some scoring, some stocks, some boards. Might be okay. Probably a good stash guy.
Mark Madsen - Mad Dog.
Small Forwards
Desmond Mason - Good leaper that can finish decently and has an okay jump shot. Range is limited beyond that. Good strength and quickness. Plus rebounder on the wings. Not much for stocks.
DerMarr Johnson - Decent jump shot. Good defender that might get a few stocks. Probably a little too weak to play the 3 for extended periods, especially with his rebounding a little lacking.
Hanno Möttölä - Crafty scorer. Kind of okay across the board. Does a bit of everything but not very well. Probably a good rebounder at the 3 though.
Pete Mickeal - Great handles and absolute lockdown man defender. Good rebounder as well.
Shooting Guards
Morris Peterson - Should provide some decent scoring and get some steals. Solid rebounder at the 2. Takes care of the ball. Could be a decent fourth or fifth starter or a very good rotation wing.
Quentin Richardson - Good 3P shooter but kind of slips up at the FT line at times. Might get a steal. Solid rebounder. HIDDEN STIP
Ime Udoka - Great defender with some rebounding. Offense isn't great. Should get some steals as well.
DeShawn Stevenson - Raw offensively but will get some steals. Decent strength and quickness, but handling is a concern. Upside is unknown. He's young with a lot of talent, but motivation is questionable.
Eddie House - Good shooter with good quickness and some court-vision. Might get a steal. Terrible rebounder and pretty weak.
Richie Frahm - Very good scorer but can't defend to save his life. A steal every now and then isn't out of the question though. Pretty good defensive rebounder.
Point Guard
Keyon Dooling - Exciting young guard with some good tools to develop. Capable of getting inside, good quickness, decent jump shot. Future is tough. Handling is a little unpolished for the 1, but strength and rebounding are a concern at the 2.
Courtney Alexander - Good scoring guard. Might also be more geared for the 2 slot. Should get a steal and rebounds the ball well for his size.
Speedy Claxton - Speedy is quite speedy. Also a very good defender who will create turnovers. Surprisingly good at sneaking into the lane and finishing with either hand. Poor shooter.
Jason Hart - Decent shooter with good handling and quickness.
AJ Guyton - Better shooter with good quickness but average handling.
Khalid El-Amin - Very fast and a good passer. Decent jump shot and good steals. Handling is a concern though.
Scoonie Penn - Will certainly pass.
Mateen Cleaves - Good handling, quickness, and steals. Bad offense and rebounding.
Centers
