Draft Profile: Ben Simmons
Draft Profile: Ben Simmons
Ben Simmons
Strengths: Decent inside game. Good vision. Good steals and blocks. Solid positional defense. Good rebounding. Good strength and quickness.
Weaknesses: Abysmal shooting. Handles need a bit of work.
Scout's Take: Ben Simmons is a tantalizing prospect that teams are both eager and wary of. He can do everything...but shoot. Given that his primary position is PG, that is a bit of a conundrum. He's loaded with talent and should work to improve constantly. He instinctively does things that are hard to teach, and trust that he’ll receive better coaching and spend plenty of time shooting jumpers. Where will he end up?
Ratings: Ben Simmons SF 6'10'' 240 20 B- D+ B+ B+ B- A
Stipulations: Can only start at PG.

"It's great to see the Celtics doing well again, 'cause that was so much fun in my day to go to the Boston Garden and get spit at, get things thrown at you and talk about your mom. It sounds like dinner at Kenny Smith's house."

Is he actually the biggest bust in history based on talent?
