The Kyrie Playoff Chronicles: Part 1 – Season by Season
Have you ever wondered what an eight ball and a 2-for-18 shooter have in common?
Both make you think, "Maybe I should pass next time." To say the least I do not pass.
After a deep conversation with myself in the mirror this morning, it hit me: we’re seriously lacking in Kyrie content. Some people (cough the Board cough) might prefer we let the SLN participants forget just how great this guy is, and that's been noticeable based on the offers I'm hearing. But that’s not happening—not on my watch.
So here we are, kicking off a three-part series diving into all things Playoff Kyrie. We’ll break it down into three glorious chunks:
Season by Season: Kyrie’s yearly averages
Series by Series: A closer look at Kyrie’s performances in every round: Divisional, Conference Semis, Conference Finals, and Finals.
Game by Game: The grand finale, dissecting Kyrie’s performances in Games 1 through 7.
This is Part One, where we explore his season-by-season stat lines—the foundation of the legend himself.
Kyrie’s Overall Playoff Stats
Before diving in, let’s start with some quick career playoff aggregates:
Games Played: 104
Wins: 61
Losses: 43
Win %: 58.65%
PPG: 31.69
APG: 9.32
RPG: 5.59
Field Goal %: 48.65%
Field Goals Attempted/Game: 25.38
3PT %: 42.80%
Total Stocks: 214
Stocks/Game: 2.06
Stock-to-Turnover Ratio: 1.25
Season-by-Season Breakdown
I’ll be walking through Kyrie’s playoff averages year by year, supported by screenshots from my PBI dashboard. (Yes, there’s a random blank year for 2014—you can send your complaints directly to RB for that masterpiece.)

Final Table
Kyrie's 2017 and 2018 playoff runs were straight-up ridiculous—shooting 54% and 50% from the field in back-to-back seasons is the stuff of video game sliders, not real life. As for his 3PT percentage? Let’s just say I’m squinting at the numbers and pretending they make sense. Something’s got to give, though—maybe I need to adjust my metrics or invest in a magic abacus.
Anyway, I’d love to break this down further, but my shaman just texted me that my chakra realignment appointment starts in 20 minutes. So, in the spirit of Kyrie, I’ll leave you with this gem: “If you can’t see the ball spinning at a frequency only dogs can hear, are you even really playing basketball?”

Great content GX but you played yourself if you think the Suns head coach, Tom Gugliotta hasn’t ran these numbers himself.
Bonga has one name on his list of point guards to eliminate him from the playoffs and hes coming for the anti vaxxer a la Arya Stark
