Jason Kidd - Bucks
Dear SLNers, friends, associates, colleagues, and fellow dreamers, your historians (Nick and I) are extremely proud, excited, exuberant, etc, to announce the HOF nod for one of the most dominant superstars this league has ever seen. Everyone's favorite stat stuffing point guard, Jason Kidd! This man had an insane career filled not only with stats and accolades, but with some rings too. He had the second highest HOF criteria score of all time, only behind Hakeem the Dream by 2 points. A true dominant force wherever he went.
Kidd, similar to his rival PG HOFer, Steve Nash, was an OG creation draft guy, somehow falling to the Bucks at the 27th pick. He was a polarizing guy back then, as everyone valued three point shooting guys and didnt know how Jason would fare. in real life, they called him Ason because he didn't have a J. Well..... surprise, he became really freaking good. In his sophomore season , he made all league second team and second team defense. It all fully clicked in the 1999-2000 season where he not only won the MVP for the first time, but lead the Bucks to the promised land for a stacked Bucks team that would be so fun to watch in real life, Antawn jamison, Sheed, and glen rice all running alongside the Maestro himself. Kidd and the bucks went toe to toe with against his fellow Hofer and rival, Steve Nash, two years in a row, coming out victorious in both. His accolades are almost hard to write out because of how many he has, so Ill summarize it. Many All NBA nods, all defense nods, and all star games. He bounced to the Knicks where he led deep playoff runs, had a stint with the Heat, and returned to finish out his days in NYC as a Knick.
A true stat sheet stuffer, for his career, he averaged 21.4 PPG, 11.1 APG, 6.4 RPG as a PG, 2.3 SPG, shooting 46.4% from the field, 40.6% from 3, and 86.8% from the line. His most prolific season was his final year with the Bucks where he averaged 27.6 PPG, 11.7 APG, 6,5 RPG, 2,4 SPG, shooting an insane 49.7% from the field, and averaging a near career low in TOs at 2.2. He ended his career with 112 triple doubles. I don't track triple doubles but I'd bet he has the most in SLN history (until Lebron eventually beats that - he is at 82 for anyone wondering).
Jason Kidd - you truly earned that J in front of your name with hard offseason work and potentially a pick em camp. You were a dominant force showing that stats do in fact help with winning. Your jersey is retired with the Bucks, go enjoy your two rings and good luck with your coaching career too lol, you and Nash have too many freaking similarities. Salute!

@mantypas/CavsCzar @SoNicks At some point, would you guys be down to create a HOF Google Doc that we can scroll through? kinda like what we have for Reward Camp History? Otherwise we kinda just have a series of random posts, some of which are polls, and no way to view the HOF as a whole
