TL;DR - free RPs for a quick post!

Get these done before the tip of next season!

Every year, every GM's got his studs and it's duds, his craftiest moves and most embarrassing flops. For 75RPs, fill out the answers to the following questions and post it in the thread - think of these as your post-season Dundies, awarding each of the first 4 to players on your team, and then reflect on some of the key moments from your year. Post these whenever! Offseason questionnaire will be posted later on.

Once you've posted, DO NOT claim your RP in the RP thread - we will calculate at the end.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER:
No one was particularly amazing or not. I guess Deron Williams by default but he was better last year. It was the most boring of seasons in Orlando
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR:
Andrew Bogut. He was 2nd team all defense again and the team really gelled once he moved to center.
MOST IMPROVED:
George Hill. The Demolition Man with his blonde hair. After hardly playing last year, I promoted him to starting PG mid season and he responded with nothing but efficiency. .496/.456/.878. Have fun with Kawhi my son
SIXTH MAN:
CJ Miles. Dude was basically a microwave for us. Ran #1 option as super sub.
BIGGEST SURPRISE:
Aforementioned George Hill
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:
Just kinda being mid. I wanted to make a huge splash but no one would have fun with me
TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR:
I guess this has to be Emeka? It wasn't even that great.
REGRETS:
Not finding a superstar through magic. Would've been fun to see what this team was capable of with a real #1

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Beaz God. The young fella shot great splits from the floor (47/43) while keeping his turnovers limited and rebounding the shit out of the ball. I had "Press" on for too much of the season which limited his minutes with fouls but he would have put up bigger numbers had I not been a moron.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Andrew Bynum. I'd normally put Kwame but his fat ass decided to herniate a disc and miss 50 games so I'm mad at him and traded him. Bynum is an incredible shotblocker, I just wish more of his supercamp had gone to his rebounding.

MOST IMPROVED: Paul George. He's starting to look like a real star, with the TOs coming down and the scoring efficiency ticking up.

SIXTH MAN: Ryan Gomes. He can get a little sloppy with the ball, but he was uber efficient and strong on the glass as a backup 1-2-3.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Andris Biedrins! Feel like he never got starter minutes at any point in his career but he turned in a top 25 big butt year playing out of position at PF, which was pretty cool.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Missing the playoffs despite having a better point differential than like 6 other teams that got in. Had a hilariously bad record in games decided by 3 points or less and it cost us, in true Boston fashion.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Devin Harris! So nice to have an elite PG back in the fold. He's a bit of a different model that my son Chauncey, a little more defense and a little less offense, but I love how efficient he is.

REGRETS: Not being more aggressive on the trade market - felt like a year I could have won GMOTY if I'd put my balls on the table and traded for some star vets, but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger that could shorten my window (too scarred from tanking...never again!)

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Actually going to go with Jamario Moon here. He got 20ppg on passable splits while getting 4+ stocks and refused to turn it over. All while grabbing 10 boards a game. He had 2 5x5s against the eventual champs in the playoffs and was an a steal away from 3 straight in a row. His box scores are eye popping and I'm totally cool with the league undervaluing him and keeping him on my team forever.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Marcin Gortitties. Elite big butt getting 3 blocks a game, he was grooving last year! He got back to back triple doubles with 10 blocks against the rockets and we still lost the series!

MOST IMPROVED:
Everyone on my team took a step back in TC for the 4th year in a row so there was no improvement by any individual.

SIXTH MAN:
JJ Redick. He is elite in any PG minutes he can get. I like him off the bench better than starting and hope to add a defensive stopper this year to start at the 2.

BIGGEST SURPRISE:
Jamario being okay on offense? Not a ton of surprises on this team. We sorta were who we have been for a couple seasons now.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:
Kevin Love being a slightly above average rebounder despite being touted as the best rebounding prospect to enter the draft. Smdh.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR:
No big trades until the offseason! Happy with trading Kevin Love and netting 4 first rounders including my own 2017. Some wheeling and dealing on draft day gave me some flexibility to go a number of directions over the course of the next few seasons.

REGRETS:
Not being more active on the boards this past season! my content has fallen off a cliff and I am holding myself accountable. I will be better, I must be better.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Klay. He's looking awesome early in the game. Can seemingly play the 2 or 3 seamlessly. Hard to beat his efficiency and hope he keeps shooting more. Up to me now to put a good team around him.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: This was the issue. None really but I'll go with Jamal Sampson from the post trade second half.

MOST IMPROVED: Probably Klay again. Because Dame and Beal were rookies so there wasn't much to improve upon.

SIXTH MAN: Beal. He wasn't as efficient as I'd like but overall was happy with his rookie year and had some very nice sims. Looking for him to take a big step.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Dame stepping up right away with not crazy TO numbers. Looks very promising and will have a handles camp in his future.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Probably KG regression. Still a nice piece to have and I had to keep him on the coring aspect. If he stays where he was last year we'll be fine, just can't regress anymore. Also I LOVE Jodie Meeks splits but he does not shoot the ball enough, it sucks.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: John Wall away and landing Jamal Sampson and his penchant for re-signing for cheap. That was a big piece for me in the trade and Sampson came through offering to re-sign for less than his FA worth

REGRETS: Not getting another big earlier on in the season. That or being in a spot where I want to flip the switch and thus don't want to wait to supercamp any of the studs. Will always be a what if but they're good enough to play through and needed some clarity on the long term look.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Kawhi, had a huge TC uncamped, is flat A defender and still shot 47% from the field. So excited for his supercamp.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Will go with DJ after putting up 4 stocks a game. TOs started to come down as the season progressed.

MOST IMPROVED: MKG and Middleton had huge rookie TCs but I liked what I saw from Kawhi this season after a solid rookie campaign.

SIXTH MAN: Middleton for most of the season, he was around 49/50/88 as a super sub, hell go back to that role this year with Butler coming back.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: How much better we got after trading Mayo.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:See above

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Signing DJ. I think IT could also pop, people seem way more down on him than warranted

REGRETS: Not getting more for Mayo but opening that slot allowed me to bring back Caron and go get KLove

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Paul Pierce. Man is simply a legend. poopy pants carried this rag tag team of bench guys to one game shy of the WCF for the second time in three seasons. He was literally at his best for his career and despite his age he looks primed for another Seattle campaign.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Paul Pierce! The defensive lord has been formidable at the 4 since he came to Seattle and his two way impact is why we’re so tough. Shout out to Oden for his superb rebounding, though he loves to foul.

MOST IMPROVED: uhh… Courtney Alexander? Only cuz it seems he’s just Carols Arroyo in full minutes. Let’s see if this almost retired veteran Scorer got any burn left.

SIXTH MAN: Josh Childress. Played 1-4 all year. He was my bench.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: That we were still really solid in games Oden didn’t play a lot.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:
No ragerts

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR:
Getting Oden and wall. Ushering in a new youth movement I. Seattl while also trying to maintain competitive balance.

REGRETS: that I dont Have a bigger disappointment

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Ricky Rubio. In addition to being my best player, he also conveniently got injured for a decent chunk of the season which helped with the tanking. Important TC coming up for him — was hoping not to have to pay him a full max (fuck you Mantypas) but hoping he'll develop and wind up earning it. If nothing else it's fun as hell seeing his box scores.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Draymond? He's the only guy who played defense. I thought he was somewhat promising for a rookie relative to how bad it could have theoretically been on offense. Another guy with an important TC ahead and then a supercamp coming.

MOST IMPROVED: Gordon Hayward. He went from unplayable to pretty playable. Think the lack of a true No. 1 option on my team probably caused him and Ingles to be a tad overstretched, but should still be some TC juice in there. Was just glad to see him round into a rotation player, versus being totally not useful.

SIXTH MAN: I guess Steve Blake? Idk, my bench sucked. Blake adequately commanded the tank when called upon.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Joe Ingles and Gordon Hayward becoming basically the same player. Check the stats lol. Joe is more of a shooter, Gordon is more of a slasher, but they had the same numbers for like 80% of the season

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Not being a little bit better out of the gate. I was ready to pivot at the first sign of disaster, but Rubio got hurt and we stumbled early and I just didn't care enough about being mid to wait it out, so I flipped Kobe and ZBo and Millsap and Okafor and just tried to stack longer-term assets as we figure this thing out.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Um...all of the picks I got? Hopefully it's Steven Adams but that was more of a next-season move lol.

REGRETS: None really although I do get sad every now and then when I think about trading away Lou Williams. I think the general timetable of my rebuild makes sense though, so just trying to keep exercising patience and find the fun in it.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Derrick Rose. Kobe had better stats but missed 12 games while Rose played all 82. 23, 4.5 and 6 with 2 steals. Watch out for this guy to POP next season. I feel it coming.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Sweet Malik. I'll miss him sorely. 3 blocks. We're gonna miss this guy around the rim as we shift to a fuck defense mindset next season with Amare and Boogie at 4/5.

MOST IMPROVED:
Boogie. Jumped almost 4 points and a board and half on better efficiency in similar minutes YoY. Excited to see how he'll do next year with even more minutes, another TC, and a full season in what will probably be a balanced or inside offense.

SIXTH MAN: Looking at my team page here and nobody to be too excited about. I guess Vuc had pretty good per 36 numbers on 17 mpg although he spent a lot of the season as a 3rd stringer.

BIGGEST SURPRISE:
Generally being as bad as I was. Thought I had a better roster than a 32-50 team. Surprised my record was that bad with just a -1.9 pt differential. Tried about every combination of DC and nothing really clicked but also never really stuck with one long enough to rule anything out which leaves me a bit puzzled as to what the move is next season. I think I'm coming to realize a team built around a lot of inside oriented players can be tricky.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: See above. Also Derozan's career so far. He was a lot more efficient last season than the prior years but volume dipped heavily after adding Kobe. Pretty sure the Kobe/Derozan stip should've kicked in by now Ashes?

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Adding Boogie! We'll see if it pays off since I gave up a lot and am making a big bet on inside offense working at some point. Also, was quite happy I didn't have to deal with resigning Derozan in FA and that he offered to resign for a discount.

REGRETS: Overspending RP and for the purpose of getting myself out of debt trading my first, which ended up being a lottery pick, for 1000rp.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: METTA WORLD PEACE -- He was having the best offensive season of his career (26/8/4) at age-33 before he promptly hurt himself for the season again.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: METTA WORLD PEACE -- He was having the best defensive season of his career (tons of stocks) at age-33 before he promptly hurt himself for the season again.

MOST IMPROVED: JONAS JEREBKO -- He had the worst first sim I have ever seen. I think he shot 25% from the field as a starter. I benched him for 60 games, and then he came back and was good. WHo knew!?

SIXTH MAN: CURTIS BORTCH FART - He set records as my 4th big and I should have given him more minutes. Just didn't know where to play him since we had Ryno.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: N/A - Nothing too surprsising

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: INJURIES! Metta and Brandon Jennings BOTH lost for the year. WTF!

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: LUOL DENG. Enabled us to play Metta at SG.

REGRETS: Not consolidating picks/youth at the appropriate time. Trading IT too cheap to Yondo.
