I stewed on it and it came down to Tyler and Matt for me. Neither is a traditional roster overhaul case, but liked both their moves to perpetuate/extend their respective successful runs. Am torn on how to vote and am still kinda out on GMOTY in general but I think those were probably the two strongest candidacies in my mind when I think about team success/sustainability/quality of trades and decisions. Fun year overall for the league and a lot of people did a nice job of upgrading/pivoting effectively.

i voted hoff. put together a nasty roster that he should be able to maintain for a while. took some balls to trade kyrie but bought himself some longevity and still was able to win the division

I’m going Hoff. He assembled an insanely talented roster with a young stud PG. the pieces all have immense trade value and he can afford to keep it together

Went with the Sun King — the Rui trade was super swaggy and the AG/Jokic/Ayton combo is the type of weird shit I’m here to sim for

voted matt. +11.6 diff is crazy in a league this competitive and was off the backs of a crucial loss ala D-Rose and pivoted by moving Lambo at the perfect time (he dead) to grab Hield and Allen and post the best record. Tyler put his balls on the table as well and could’ve easily sent a vote his way. easy case for it but ultimately went with the best team in a year where there’s not a clear winner. Hoff made some great moves that got the ball rolling on league wide trade. Merv did a great job accruing assets via trading his start players and still making the playoffs. Wes and Derek both make win-now moves that deserves a lot of praise and attention. SLN strong as ever. look forward to the new GMOTY process !!
