MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: LeBron. Won his third straight MVP award and is the heartbeat of the team. Glad he was happy to re-sign!

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: PP. Was a defensive monster as soon as he joined the squad. Would not have secured the third seed without him IMO.

MOST IMPROVED: Hawes. Averaged a double double, 2.2:1.4 stock to TO ratio, and had great shooting numbers. Excited to see more growth this year.

SIXTH MAN: Odom. Did not realize it early enough but played really well as a super-sub throughout the playoffs.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Millsap. Started most of the season, but really could slide in anywhere and was solid the whole year.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Green really took a back seat in the scoring department with the arrival of PP. Hoping to get that straightened out this season.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Pierce. Wish I could have gotten him without moving Boozer too, but excited to play around with him for the next couple of seasons.

REGRETS: Trading Iggy like those bastard IRL Sixers did for that Scheister Andrew Bynum who literally stole money from us.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: McCants. Now that he's out from under TP's shadow, it's time for McCants to shine! He's good at everything and one of my favorite sim league players I've owned

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Eddie Griffin. the TWO time! Won his second DPOY last year to go back to back. Eddie continues to be the main reason we don't suck on defense

MOST IMPROVED: Nic Batum. Traded for Batum mostly for the FRP and didn't expect his hot start to the season to continue, but he looks like a well rounded contributor! Hoping to see another positive step in TC.

SIXTH MAN: OJ Mayo. He's slept on as a microwave combo guard - he had some huge games for us off the bench.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Sucking? Thought post TP trade that we would still be competitive, but we sucked down the stretch (after I changed my DC from one that Ashes set...hm...). This year will likely also be another step backwards, but think we're building something exciting going forward.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Sucking. Also not seeing Jimmer really improve in anything I didn't pay a million RP to improve. Still think he'll be useful, but was hoping for some hidden potential that was...not there. *cue the +4 now, PLAY THE SONG*

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Certainly not the TP trade! You're welcome Jesse, enjoy the parade. Probably Hedo for a first and Batum, but think that was just lucky that Batum looks like he's panning out.

REGRETS: Meh. Obv the TP trade looks bad now but don't totally regret it, it's been fun to see some new names in the box scores. Plus now everyone knows that Bulls picks are valuable cuz I'm washed!

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Jameer Nelson.

I find myself writing the same things here season after season. Jameer did 23/5/10 per game on 49/41/93 shooting which actually represented a pretty big decline in efficiency lol. He spent the season as our third option which maybe I should have played around with more.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR:

Dwight Howard. Anchored nearly the best rebounding team of all time, and was a 4.5 stock per 36 guy.

MOST IMPROVED:

Al Horford! My guy is adding 3pt volume every year, finally bumping himself up to a B- outside. He also had a nice jump in blocks and while not explicitly adding more rebounds, was a big factor in our dominance on the boards. We also have no one else for this category, so it's his by default.

SIXTH MAN:

CJ Miles. He did a pretty efficient 15ppg off the bench for us as a backup 1-2 and third string 3. I kind of expected more from him to be honest, but he was also a step up there from the backup PGs we've had as 1-2 subs in the past.

BIGGEST SURPRISE:

Yi's rebounding I guess. He'd never broken the 10rpg mark before, and I figured given my other FC guys, he'd be getting fewer rebounds if anything. Going from a fine rebounder at SF in Shawn Marion to a very good one really pushed us over the edge into dominant territory on that end.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:

Dwight and Jameer slippage. Jameer's role shrank a little bit with the additions of CJ Miles and Joe Johnson, but his efficiency also declined, which wasn't what I was looking for. Dwight was a bit off his peak in blocks and rebounds which was also a bit annoying given that he is in his prime age-wise.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR:

Swapping the carcass of Shawn Marion for Yi, CJ Miles, and Iso Joe Johnson. We gave up a lot of future assets in this deal but it helped turn us into the top seed in the west and a pretty dominant regular season team.

REGRETS:

Bowing out of the playoffs in the second round. We're on year like 7 of 50+ wins and the furthest we've gone is the WCF once.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Melo
Had to be. He is liable to go for 50 on any night, and he can be such a terror in terms of getting his matchup into foul trouble that it ultimately helps compensate for him being just an average defensive player. Also considered Steph and Monta here, but Melo is the top dog in the Rockies.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Kendrick Perkins
Perk is our stopper. Plain and simple. Go check out our playoff series with the blazers and see how Dwight performed and tell me this man isn't worth the toxic BS he spews in practice and in our locker room every day. Love to hate ya perk and hate to lace ya.

MOST IMPROVED: Tony Allen
TA really broke out of his shell last year as a better than solid role player and started to play like a proper star, especially when he got starter mins to fill whenever one of our big 3 went down. He will be tough to replace and i expect he'll do great things in south beach!

SIXTH MAN: TA
He was the 6MOY. I mean. It would be pretty weird if I chose anyone else. Absolutely stellar 1-2-3 supersub. Can't say a bad thing about him except that he wanted tooo many years on the re sign offer!

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Monta down season
Players are bound to ebb and flow, but I was a bit surprised to see Monta, who should be peaking right now, have more of an ebb than flow (is ebbing bad? Or flowing? I don't fucking know?!) year. He's still sexy as hell with his brand new C+ rebounding but I thought he would be more of a wagon in his first full year in Denver. Looks like just some shooting mean regession is all we need.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: no cheapo re sign offers from mahinmi or TA
I thought we had a chance there. I reallly did. But no dice and ultimately we had to go to FA on both of our big expiring boys. I'm thankful though because locking back in for FA has re sparked my interest and activity on the boards

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Jarrett Jack LLE
once TA walked and Oberto snapped up our MLE, it was huge for us to grab a true quality rotation piece on the LLE, and I was very impressed with JJ's resume and think he can be a really solid backup PG if not even combo guard this year for da term

REGRETS: not being as active recently
Things have been crazy at work! I switched jobs at end of last year and we have sort of been in a start up mode for the last few months and it has left me less time for SLN. But things should hopefully be evening out a bit and excited to lean back in
