An article idea for any data nerds out there. If someone could run a regression model on what factors (players greed, loyalty, play for winner, minutes played, teams success, etc.) help best with players offering to resign or not would be really interesting to note. I’d be really curious because most times it seems like dumb luck

Anecdotally (but like a fuckton of anecdotes), it appears to be pretty much random

Al had 98 greed but gave me that sweetheart deal. I think it's a complete blackbox, though we might only notice the edge cases and extremes, which is a pretty common human bias. I'm personally too lazy to run the traps on this because the scraping / data gathering would be a pain in the ass, but would be interesting to see. Maybe someone with more coding experience like Nick or Tong could do it or at least the front end.

The issue is that there are confounding factors that make it really hard to run a proper regression - it's not just loyalty / greed / play for winner / minutes / team success, it's also some combination of some black box of stats that FBB uses to evaluate a player. Typically guys with really low Inside tend to resign cheap because the game thinks they're less valuable (a la Diop). I think also high passing is generally looked at favorably by the game (i.e. assists)
