I'm agnostic on the way we implement the double bonuses and i actually figured this article already received an anniversary boost (550x2)+150, but i guess it did not.

Unless I am missing something or something is going way over my head, 1100 RPs would be an unprecedented grade for any article that clearly didn't take dozens of hours / require some untold amount of statistical analysis. 550 in it of itself would be a hefty sum for an article (see: clinton's awesome draft recap).

This was an amazing read an extremely creative idea. I was just surprised to see anyone complain about the grade on this one since our lovely article mods were already handing out RPs like Opra. 1100!!!!!

also as the rp guy, asking to get 2200 RPs for an article gets my goat

When we had other anniversary bonuses which coincided with a content boost we explicitly said we weren’t stacking boni, would say it’s safe to say the same rule would apply here, I think I can find the post if helpful

From my perspective it doesn't seem to have to do with the grade for this article, as it seems fairly graded and the discussion is about the multipliers, or how much RP is being or has been handed out - it's about what's aligned with the expectations people had when creating content for this frenzy. I believe the bonuses stacked during the last content frenzy - was there a communication after that frenzy, or after ashes announced this one, about how future bonus stacking would be treated? If so, we should go with what was communicated there - if not, then I’d expect it to be treated the same as it was last time, as people (including myself and it seems Merv) made decisions to invest their time based on that expectation

I feel like i am taking crazy pills. 1250 RPs isn't worthy of investing time on content? I am confused and feel like something is going way over my head.

I’m all for incentivizing content but just from a pure like “does this make sense” perspective…2.2k RP for one article does not really make sense to me

Yes, the incremental difference between 2200 and 1200 RPs does make an impact on whether people decide to invest their time into content. Just as how you’re saying 1200 is a lot, an incremental 1000 is a lot.
