I am intentionally staying out of the discussion here as the presenter of the rule change - I am neutral and OK with whatever the group wants and decides as far as timeline - but the good news is that we have hit 21 votes in favor of the system itself, so we have a supermajority.

@pacers how do you want to hold the actual runoff vote?
I propose a sack race on neutral turf between Merv and Joe held on consecutive Sundays until a winner is determined. Matt and Sonick will be the official judges. There will be two possible scores, A+ and B-
My sack: 14 picks
Mervs sack: idk maybe 5

I'd say the race is over

ATTENTION: We have now reached the 20 vote threshold.

THE POLL IN THIS THREAD WILL NOW SERVE AS THE RUNOFF. All votes must be in by the END OF THE REGULAR SEASON (Day 120), so as to provide time for offseason planning based on the result of the runoff. Votes submitted or changed after this deadline will NOT count.

Let me know if any questions - thanks all.

If you all want my actual opinion, it's this:

1. You are arguing over 75% and 80% odds of losing the lotto. At the end of the day, you are losers (1 and 2) that often of the time, so like Jesse said, it's kind of irrelevant

2. I actually agree with Joe/Matt/whomever that fast changes are meh

3. Honestly I don't think it really affects you super tankers THAT much regardless

4. Tanking is pretty ridiculous now and it's really really hard for me to keep up with it, and appointing a tanking mod is ideal, but at the same time opens up to bitching. Like y'all will attack each other, but listen to me, so it's tough.

5. I actually enjoy watching people try to figure out the ways of the tank. But it's usually around this time that people have it down to a science. Flatten it out, make things interesting, have fun. You're still gonna tank no matter what, it isn't the biggest of deals that your odds shift from 75% to 86% of losing.

That's my take tbh
