u/MagicSuperFan407: Hey guys, I was riding the monorail at Disney with some guy wearing a bunch of Magic swag, and he dropped his thumb drive so I swiped it. Looks like it had all their scouting information on the upcoming draft classes. Check this sh!t out!!
2015 NBA Draft Class
College Kids Likely to Go Back
Willie Cauley-Stein: 7'0 240lb C Kentucky (Jr)
RV-ST-TS
Think he's got great upside. Switchable, guarded 1-5 against an elite Florida Gator senior-laden team. Could be a special, special big butt type defender with blocks, steals, and rebounds. Non-offensive weapon outside of lobs. Off the court intel is mixed, could prevent him from reaching his potential.
Christian Wood: 6'8 214lb PF UNLV (So)
ML-RV-ST
Oozes potential. Big, athletic, and skilled. Think a second year of college will really get him right for SLN. Might not play super hard, but I think we should be able to coach that out of him. Think he could be a really gifted offensive big with some stocky upside.
Terry Rozier: 6'1 190lb PG/SG Louisville (So)
ML-RS-FS
Didn't put up crazy numbers this year but something about this kid stands out to me for next season as a breakout guy. A proper microwave scorer. Feels like an all offense 6th man type PG. Could be one to watch.
Norman Powell: 6'4 215lb SG UCLA (Sr)
RS-RV-RV
Freak athlete. Don't think he'll be high on everyone's radars but when you see someone like this in transition its pretty special. Plays on a UCLA team right now where the coach's son shoots all the time instead of LaVine but I think Powell could be a sneaky guy to make it in SLN. If the perimeter shot comes along next season, look out.
Internationals
Mario Hezonja: 6'9 225lb SF FC Barcelona
RV-ST-CR
Playing some small minutes in the Euroleague, holy cow do we love his game. They call him "Crobe" as the Croatian Kobe. That seems like a bit of a stretch but man does he look like he can fill it up...Super athletic and can finish above the rim. Looks like a crazy competitor in his clips. Very excited about Mario, think he could be a huge riser next year. We need to try to keep him quiet, especially away from the new DraftExpress guy, he hypes up all the Euros.
Cedi Osman: 6'7 230lb Anadolu Efes
RV-RV-FS
Just a good basketball player. High IQ, good passer. Think his handles are solid. Just an okay shooter but there's room for improvement. Should be a solid defender against the drive. Don't think he's overly stocky. Mark him down as a draft and stash for Lakeland.
High School
Jahlil Okafor: 6'10 270lb C (Duke Commit)
ST-TS-FR
Incredible post player, especially for a young kid. Very gifted with his footwork. Can score with either hand on the block. Think he's gonna be really effective as an inside scorer. No perimeter game to speak of. Could be a liability in PNR but I love him as a scorer/rebounder. Maybe he develops like Al Jefferson over time? Think that's a good comp for us to build off of as he goes to Duke.
Karl-Anthony Towns: 6'11 240lb PF/C (Kentucky Commit)
CR-CR-FR
Couldn't be more excited about this guy. Can score on the block or the perimeter. Saw his dad work him out before an AAU game, he just screamed, "LAY UPS" every time KAT hit a 3. Think he has a chance to be an extremely gifted scorer outside and inside. Solid rebounder. Leaves some to be desired on the defensive end but maybe he'll grow out of it.
Devin Booker: 6'5 180lb SG (Kentucky Commit)
FS-TS-FR
Think he's pretty underrated on the recruiting rankings. Pure scorer in the Mississippi high school ranks. Love his size for a SG. Don't think he's much of a defender but flashes of being an All SLN scorer. Could he be something like Ray Allen? I think there's a chance. Can't wait to see him at Kentucky.
Emmanuel Mudiay: 6'5 197 PG (SMU Commit)
ML-RS-RV
Heard he may be going to CHYNAH. They must be paying him and his agent a ton of money. Elite size for the position. Freak athlete. Monster in transition. Not sure how skilled he is. Could be a nice defensive PG. Probably thinks he is Derrick Rose
2015 HS Class
2 guys I want to put down early that I think could be SLN guys.
Jamal Murray: 6'4 190 CG (Toronto, ON)
Looks like a pure scorer. Hoping he can play on the ball some as a creator. High-level shooter. Excited to continue to watch his development.
Jalen Brunson: 6'1 175 PG (Chicago, IL)
Son of Rick Brunson. Just love his leadership and toughness. I don't know how he's gonna make it at his height, but I bet he does. We should start doing some serious work on this one. Could be a game changer.
