NDL Pot Boost Luck

Franklin D. Roosevelt: “Here’s the thing about luck…you don’t know if it’s good or bad until you have some perspective.”
Welcome to todays briefing on NDL Potential Boost Luck. I have crunched the numbers (not sure if correctly or not) based on Sir Joe of Land Bostonia's post on the most recent PotBoost rolls to determine who in this league Ashes smiles upon and who he smites.

Sophomore rolls can land anywhere on a scale of 3 to 8 with the Average Expected Roll being a 5.5.
In order to determine who is lucky and who is not, I went through every potential boost since the start of the league and tallied them. The original years were somewhat difficult to determine who was a sophomore and who was a rookie. There are plenty of 5s I could have missed from those first 4 to 5 seasons but I believe I have 90 to 95% of sophomore boosts in my data set. I originally had been using the player movement thread on proboards for this because early in SLN some of you (HEIMER) were bandits with delegating and recalls, but tracking like that made this tiresome and boring.
I determined each teams average roll by listing every roll (i.e. 3,3,5,5,5...etc) and taking the Mean/Average of that data set.
Notes:
- While Hoff and the Mavs lead the league w/ 6.00 & Nav and the Knicks are the worst w/ 4.75, I personally view their numbers as abnormal because of their low rolls. Yet they were not removed from data collection b/c that would be wrong.
- 10 teams in the league account for 25/35 +8 pot boosts all time. 10 teams account for the other 10 players. Finally 9 of you unlucky SOB's have ZERO +8 sophomores all-time.
- Notable +8: Jermaine O'Neal(97-98), Ty Lue & Slava Medvedenko(99-00), Gordon Giricek(00-01), Andreas Nocioni(02-03), Reece Gaines(04-05), Jarrett Jack, Johan Petro, & Von Wafer(06-07), Swaggy P & Lick-My-Booty(09-10), Hasheem Thabeet(10-11), Tristan Thompson(12-13)
- +8 is overrated, plenty of players did not hit the jackpot but were given potential that boosted what was already a great potential number. One of note was Eddy Curry, who only received +9 overall(+4 Sophomore).
