97-98 Plus / Minus through Sim 6 (Author - grundlesauce)

For those wondering how records match performance, here's how the 29 teams are shaking out by basic Plus/Minus.

Man I wish it showed up larger... cliff notes below:
KNICKS are easily the favorites by a mile; the difference between them and #2 Suns is the same from #2 to #9.
SUNS have the second best differential and are a full 2.0 PPG ahead of the #3 JAZZ.
There is a tight group from #4 to #9 consisting of the RAPTORS, 76ERS, SPURS, TRAIL BLAZERS, KINGS and TIMBERWOLVES.
#10 HEAT and #11 GRIZZLIES are the edge berfore a huge drop-off.
The HAWKS and MAGIC are probably the bellweathers for league average on-court performance.
There is then a large group of, frankly, mediocrity and teams treading water.
The most interesting thing to note is just how tanky the SONICS are... I feel like the active effort to be this bad is commendable!
