SLN Article Grading Guidelines

We had these posted on the old boards but never brought them over, and I've had a couple questions, so just bringing them back in a post.

Articles are given a score out of 10 across 4 factors, which are weighted in the order below, and then boni and quality content bonuses are added on top of the raw score. Articles that generate a lot of engagement or are just super impressive for any number of reasons typically get those quality content boosts - they're at the graders' discretion.

1) Complexity (how hard/complicated was it to write this article, not necessarily how long the article is - e.g., creating a single new evaluation statistic/metric may be more complex than running players stats through 5 well-known ones)

2) Insight / Applicability
(how useful is the article to other GMs in their decision-making, or how profound are the insights)

3) Creativity (is this something we've never seen before - articles that are repeats from previous seasons or from other authors automatically receive a 1 or 2 out of 10 for this)

4) Funniness (on a scale from 1 to Weilheimer's 2000 live draft reactions, how much did we laugh)

And, as always, if you feel you were graded unfairly or we misjudged how difficult it was to create what you created, you can always appeal your grade to the content graders (me, Nav, Kipke).
