SEATTLE (AP) -- Immediately after Game 5 wrapped up, word started spreading like wildfire that something was amiss in the Seattle locker room. As the players each took turns at the postgame podium, there was one noticeable absence. Head Coach LaVar Ball.
We have received information from a credible inside source that LaVar Ball has been under investigation by SLN officials for tampering. While this news has been floating around the rumor mill for the past few months, it had always been unsubstantiated, but a new report has come to light on findings of fraud, embezzlement, and tampering connected to polarizing SLN figure, LaVar Ball. These findings also come at a time where there have been multiple reports of possible SEC and FDA investigations potentially targeting Big Baller Brand, LaVar Ball's company.
LaVar Ball seen signing BBB shoes a few weeks ago. Allegedly a Seattle SuperSonics practice was rescheduled to accomodate.
Before publishing this article, we reached out to SLN officials for comment and received news verifying the validity of the report, but that wasn't the most shocking word we received.
Ball, father of SLN players Lonzo and LiAngelo and SLN hopeful LaMelo, has been forcibly terminated from the Seattle SuperSonics organization and banned from SLN.
Banned. Never before have we seen something like this happen in the league. Rumors of secret Nirvana Development League performance enhancing substances, SLN players embezzling funds from organizations and SLN healthcare plans, soft punishments on cap offenders and rampant tanking allegations, have never led to anything reaching this level of response or punishment.
"He just grabbed his bag and left," Seattle superstar Chris Boucher told reporters.
Left to wonder, many Seattle players did their best to deflect questions about their absent now-former Head Coach. They were used to much of the attention flocking to LaVar but tonight seemed to leave them a little more on edge.
A reporter from Los Angeles pressed the issue asking if there were any signs or warning for the departure.
"Warning?" Lonzo Ball finally responded, "Nah man. It came out of nowhere. I have no idea what any of this could be about. You're going to have to ask someone way above us for why this happened."
Of course that is exactly what we did, but all we could find out was LaVar is fired and banned due to this investigation over the past few months. SLN Commissioner Ashes was unable to be reached for comment.
Illness striking the league in droves. Tampering and banishment. The SLN is fully in turmoil, and many are starting to wonder: How much longer is this going to go on? Word is people from the front office to the fans are starting to panic. Will the remainder of the season regress to the norm? Or will chaos continue to ensue?
