Every team’s worst player that gets minutes
Posted: December 12th, 2024, 7:30 pm
Hi All. Thought this would be a fun playful article where I just go through everyone’s roster page and decide who is the worst player that gets minutes. There are going to be some teams that have really stinky worst players, and other teams that don’t really have that bad of players getting minutes and other teams would gladly have to play more than they are currently getting. That will be evident as we go down the list.
DISCLAIMER - THIS IS ALL MEANT TO BE IN GOOD FUN, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS VERY SERIOUSLY. NOT A DC RECOMMENDATION OR ANYTHING, JUST A SIMPLE OBSERVATION TAKEN IN A LIGHTHEARTED MANNER
Qualifications – played 80% of games averaging 10 minutes or more.
Let’s Begin
Celtics – Marcin Gortat
C 36 6'11'' 240 C+ C- D B A- D
C 39 26.7 8.3 8.9 1.2 0.6 2.1 0.8 .444 .689 .000
This dude isn’t bad at all, there just aren’t many options. Good team!
Miami – James Wiseman
C 19 7'0'' 240 B- C+ D+ B C+ A
C 51 22.0 8.2 6.9 1.0 0.4 0.7 1.0 .421 .695 .308
He is a rookie and this team ain’t very good. He is just not efficient or helping win games at all just now. Runner up is backup J-Lin who is just a turnover liability, no defense, and zero Linsanity due to benching.
Brooklyn – Andrew Harrison
PG 26 6'6'' 213 C+ B B- B+ C- C
PG 49 12.2 3.8 1.4 2.4 0.4 0.2 1.1 .376 .842 .293
One sentence – he is quite ass
New York – Johan Petro
C 35 7'0'' 247 C- C- D- B- B+ D
C 46 25.8 2.6 9.0 0.6 0.6 1.1 0.8 .378 .789 .000
He is old but still very good and valuable. Not many options.
Orlando – Robin Lopez
C 32 7'0'' 281 C+ C D- A- B+ C
C 44 28.8 6.7 9.8 1.3 0.8 1.8 1.0 .358 .725 .000
He is also pretty solid, and hasn’t really played in Orlando much. Not a lot of options (and I think Zubac is good albeit the TOs).
Philadelphia – Chris Paul
PG 35 6'0'' 175 C+ A- A- A- C- F
PG 48 34.6 16.0 4.4 7.7 1.6 0.1 3.7 .472 .941 .378
A bit of a controversial pick, CP3 is pretty efficient from the field and plays great defense, but is an absolute turnover machine. MCW at least has a positive stock to turnover ratio on good efficiency
Washington - Kenneth Faried
PF 31 6'8'' 220 B+ C- C- B- B+ C
PF 49 29.7 11.1 8.9 1.4 0.6 0.7 1.3 .400 .699 .000
His efficiency has fallen off a cliff. Play Naz more!
Atlanta – Amir Johnson
PF 33 6'9'' 240 C+ D+ D C+ A- C
PF 32 15.1 2.2 5.4 0.6 0.4 0.4 0.7 .270 .552 .000
He can rebound. That is about it.
Charlotte – Nigel Williams Goss
PG 26 6'2'' 190 C B+ B- C+ C C
PG 44 9.8 4.5 1.3 2.5 0.6 0.0 0.7 .417 .963 .340
Rounded up his 9.8 minutes to 10 to make the cut, only because he’s played in every single fame somehow. He is not good.
Chicago – Yao Ming
C 40 7'6'' 310 B+ C C- C+ A- D
C 37 10.7 3.5 4.1 0.9 0.2 0.3 0.5 .398 .946 .000
How the might have fallen. Once the best player in our league is somehow still alive and kicking.
Cleveland – DeJuan Blair
C 31 6'7'' 270 C+ C- C- B+ B D
C 50 17.3 3.3 4.9 0.9 0.4 0.4 0.8 .381 .661 .000
His ratings aren’t that bad, but as someone that closely follows this team (go cavs baby), he just isn’t good at all. #TeamCodyZeller
Detroit – Tyler Lydon
PF 24 6'10'' 225 C A- D- C C C
PF 45 26.2 5.5 6.4 0.8 0.6 0.5 1.0 .386 .764 .286
Plenty to choose from but I chose this stud from Syracuse, with A- shooting, that is mega ass efficiency
Indiana – Devonte’ Graham
PG 25 6'1'' 195 C- B A- C C C
PG 35 10.9 4.4 1.7 2.9 0.4 0.0 0.6 .377 .814 .286
Like IRL, his college game never translated to the pros. Shame!
Milwaukee – Luke Kornet
C 25 7'2'' 250 C+ B+ C- B+ B- B
C 40 18.3 3.9 5.5 0.9 0.4 0.9 0.6 .419 .841 .353
He’s honestly not bad, just not a lot to choose from and he’s the least stocky big. Brad Beal is too efficient to be the guy here.
Toronto – Spencer Hawes
C 32 7'1'' 245 C A- C- B B C
C 46 18.0 3.9 5.6 0.8 0.4 1.0 0.5 .382 .836 .467
Another guy that isn’t bad, just the worst rotation big on the squad.
Dallas – Talen Horton-Tucker
SG 20 6'4'' 234 C+ C+ C+ B+ C B
SG 41 19.1 8.4 4.2 2.4 0.9 0.2 1.3 .447 .808 .308
Was a toss up between him and Desmond Bane, but don’t want to shit on the rook.
Denver – LaMelo Ball
PG 19 6'7'' 180 B- B A- B- C A
PG 45 36.6 19.9 6.9 8.5 2.2 0.1 4.2 .437 .818 .348
Lavar - close your eyes! That’s a lot of turnovers dog. Was originally Gafford then I saw the TOs. Im sure hes probably not the worst player but being a top option when you're not ready will do this.
Houston – Avery Bradley
PG 30 6'3'' 180 C A- C- A- D+ C
PG 42 10.6 4.2 1.1 1.1 0.5 0.0 1.6 .354 .778 .286
Absolute basketball terrorist.
Minnesota – Khris Middleton
SG 29 6'7'' 222 B- B+ C C+ C C
SG 46 18.3 6.8 3.5 1.5 0.5 0.1 0.8 .394 .855 .382
He will never be as good as he was in that one Draft Combine game.
San Antonio – Mitchell Robinson
C 22 7'0'' 240 C+ D+ D B- B+ C
C 42 19.1 4.8 6.8 1.1 0.9 1.2 0.7 .385 .515 .000
He ain’t bad, but he certainly isn’t good. It’s a shame he was never NDL-ed.
Utah – Dakari Johnson
C 24 7'0'' 255 C+ D+ C B- B D
C 49 13.3 2.8 4.4 1.0 0.4 0.7 0.6 .371 .695 .000
For a good team, he is not good but has played every game.
Memphis – Thabo Sefolosha
SG 35 6'6'' 215 C A C A C- C
SG 41 18.8 5.4 2.2 1.2 1.1 0.2 0.6 .428 .806 .361
He isn’t bad, still a lockdown defender, but the efficiency has taken a huge step down. Runner ups were Kris Dunn (turnover whore) and Jusuf Nurkic (Solid but not great).
Golden State – Josh Richardson
SG 27 6'5'' 200 B- A- C+ C+ C- B
SG 39 13.9 7.5 1.9 1.5 0.3 0.3 0.9 .481 .818 .368
Another guy that isn’t bad but he is a minus rebounder and turns the ball over more than you’d like in 14 minutes of gameplay.
Anaheim – Mason Plumlee
C 27 6'10'' 254 C+ C- C B B- C
C 45 13.8 3.9 4.8 0.8 0.4 0.6 0.6 .456 .678 .000
I wanted to go TJ Warren but he didn’t meet the games played criteria. Fuck it lets show his stats anyways because he is HORRENDOUS
SF 34 25.5 7.1 4.2 0.7 0.8 0.2 0.7 .359 .780 .404
Los Angeles – Darren Collison
PG 33 6'0'' 175 D+ A C+ C C- C
PG 37 30.6 14.6 3.9 5.0 1.0 0.2 3.0 .517 .977 .463
Shooting efficiency going crazy, unfortunately same with the turnovers and turnstile defense. Doesn’t matter Kyrie effect
Phoenix – Rui Hachimura
PF 22 6'8'' 230 B B D B B A
PF 42 24.0 8.4 5.2 0.5 0.7 0.2 0.7 .403 .756 .346

Portland – Caris Levert

Turnover whore. Solid shooter though. Henry Ellenson runner up for providing little but he holds onto the ball.
Sacramento – Glen Rice Jr
SG 29 6'6'' 206 B- A C C C+ C
SG 35 13.7 5.9 2.5 0.7 0.4 0.2 0.5 .459 .872 .302
Not a lot to choose from but his shooting efficiency has taken a dip, especially from 3. Weird from a flat A outside guy.
Seattle – Andrew Wiggins
SF 25 6'7'' 197 A- A- C C+ C C
SF 38 12.1 4.9 2.1 1.1 0.5 0.1 0.7 .408 .765 .265
The change in scenario did not help sir Wiggins. Really weird shooting season from him.
