4-0 sim with no Prince, we will take it! MKG first 4 games in Boston: 48% FG% /
5.8 bpg / 12 rpg / 1.2 spg / 1.2 TOpg , including this 10 block triple double against AG

We haven't been this STONKY since the TMac/Kmart/Outlaw days!
...but it's completely impossible to catch any of the top 4 East teams so we're still going to have to face a ridiculous juggernaut in the first round of the playoffs no matter what. Somebody send a couple of these teams to the West plz

In perhaps the biggest trial balloon for positional defense to date, we are plus 3.5 FGAs and plus 3.5 FTAs per game vs our opponents and yet, -3.

You guys are positive rebounding differential and are pretty TO efficient too, interesting case study. I think it’s a combo of positional D and blocks (second fewest in the league), which are both highly correlated with oFG% (where opposing teams are shooting a pretty insane .483 against the Blazers)

Do we know that blocks correlate to oFG%? They obviously equal a missed fg, but if you control for that and remove that missed shot from the oFG% denominator, I wonder how big the effect is. Article idea for someone
