MERVALYTICS 2010
To qualify, you must have played 500 minutes this season. Click pictures to enlarge charts!
SLN's best at getting to the line. Congrats Kwame Brown!! I'd say this was generally the names you'd expect albeit with a couple tiny usage guys like Joakim and Ratfuck. It did make me wonder, since these guys are all bigs, what perimeter players are the best at getting to the line.
Littered with guys in inside offenses as you'd expect but some nice slashing from Shawn Marion and Josh Howard
And the shooter is.... Jeff Teague!!
Mostly the usual suspects here as well but I like how Tony Allen is becoming a real 3-and-D guy, maybe the premier one in SLN.
Andrew Bogut has the lowest combined ranking and joins Kwame Brown as the only guys in the top 10 of both major big butt categories. Sean Williams stands out as an elite shot blocker, and Andrew Bynum looks kind of ok!
Ben Wallace retires as the King of Stock:TO. Really the who's who of low usage, stocky MFers. Wallace, Battie, Bender, Pollard, Mihm, and Diop. Gerald Wallace leads the wings but Josh Howard comes in at a surprising 12!
Super Cool Beas loves to shoot. If he feels leather, it's going up!
These guys never turn it over. Luis Scola might have some shot turnovers though! Tony Parker with the 7th lowest TOV% in SLN feels completely unfair.
On the other hand, Adonal Foyle is just giving it away!! Some scary PG play up here at the top of the TOV% chart.
Finally, the MERV Ratio, or bang for your buck shooting. TS% x USG%
Pretty elite company Beasley and Mayo find themselves in. Could be some SLN superstars the NBA never got to see!

Who is this Brezec guy? He seems like he’s really good.
Not really sure what all these metrics are, but he’s 11th in TRB, 7th in BLK%, 2nd in stock:to
Is he the best B defender in the league?

That absolutely outrageous usage is probably the driver of that. 2 of every 5 Boston shots are Super Cool Beas

Primoz Brezec - Raw and unproven. Scouts were high on him a few seasons ago. Showed flashes of brilliance scoring in the post. Takes care of the ball but struggles to do the two things people usually want from their bigs. Defend and board.
They got player development in the Queen City
