Glen Rice & Scottie Pippen
Glenn Rice Cakes and Scottie Rippin PipPEN once again did not make the cut on voting, nor our historian scoring. But something about this doesn't sit right with us. We, the Historians, understand the long view of history. We get that sometimes, something Mid, at first, is actually really fucking awesome after a few years of reflection. Some might say that's just conditioning yourself. But we believe these two dudes will have a shot one more time in a future hall of fame voting, as third ballet hall of famers. Stay tuned sports fans. Of note, Scottie is a 39 on the Historians scale. One of the nominee bigs this year is a 43, so perhaps 40 is a good baseline number if scottie doesnt make it during his final chance. Glen Rice is at 28 and Sam Cassell was at 30, so it is apparent that guards are able to stack HOF points with and without accolades reasonably well. Sam Stacked the ballet via his all around, 2 way production, but he did not have any accolades, all league honors, championships, and only 2 all star games despite his career length. Glen rice didnt stack the box scores aside from scoring, but his championship impact vaulted him to the border of immortality. if he had a longer career, he surely wouldve topped 40. Scottie also won some rings, as well has having a larger impact across the stat sheet and 2 more ASGs than Rice. But like Glenny, Scotties career just wasnt long enough to make his case a slam dunk. MOVING ON TO THE THICKNESS
