- Feel free to refer to the rule change thread here https://simleaguenirvana.com/posting.ph ... it&p=43976

Winner Gets:
-1,000 RPs
-Ability to add or subtract a year to any player's contract on your team. Must be done within one season.

Must apply removal year (if only year) prior to Day 1 of FA. If you do it during FA, it will remove "Last Team" and bird rights and FBB will not let Ashes change that.

GMOTY Finalists (in no particular order)

Bobby

Team Performance: 55-27, +6.3 (Last year: 43-39, +2.0)

Trades Made:

TLC, LAC 34 FRP, ORL 32 2RP, LAC 33 2RP for Lauri Markkanen
Salary, 600 RP for Duncan Robinson

Net Assets Out: LAC 34, ORL 32 2RP, LAC 33 2RP, 600 RP

Net Assets In: Lauri Markkanen, Duncan Robinson

Relevant FA Signings: TLC on MLE, Jared McCain on LLE

Depth Chart: Not much experimentation, normal DC. Did run 3rd string big Henry Ellenson as 3rd option for a couple sims

Overall Value Added:
The Clippers took a huge leap this season, going from 43-39 to 55-27 and earning the 1 seed in the West. Bobby made two trades for wing scorers to try to capitalize on Darryn Peterson ascending to other-worldly levels this season, and looks poised, for at least as long as Semi hangs on / stays in LA, to be a top contender out West.

Dmo

Team Performance: 48-34, +2.5 (Last Year: 47-35, +2.6)

Trades Made:
Pre-Season trade of Nikola Jokic, Andrew Wiggins and Andrej Stojakovic to Sacramento for Tyus Jones, Kelly Oubre Jr., PHX 29 FRP, DAL 31 FRP, SAC 33 FRP
Traded Tyus Jones, PHI 32 FRP, PHI 34 FRP to Seattle for Zach LaVine, Scotty Pippen Jr., 500 RP, SEA 34 SRP
Traded Scotty Pippen Jr. to Cleveland for Santi Aldama and 200 RP

Net Assets Out: Nikola Jokic, Andrew Wiggins, Andrej Stojakovic, PHI 32, PHI 34

Net Assets In: Kelly Oubre Jr., Zach LaVine, PHX 29, DAL 31, SAC 33, SEA 34 (2nd), Santi Aldama, 700 RP

Relevant FA Signings: None

Depth Chart: Normal trap, outside focus, with pace shift from fast to very fast & press shift from normal to often. Settings changed as personnel did. Mostly had Suggs as No. 1 option and Tyus/LaVine as No. 2 option, with Brandon Ingram usually serving as the third option.

Overall Value Added:
Dmo earned a hard-fought 48 wins in 2028 thanks to smart moves and flexibility. The Sixers hauled in three first-round picks as part of the Nikola Jokic trade, while bringing on Tyus Jones as a backcourt partner for young star Jalen Suggs. It made perfect sense, then, to flip Tyus for Zach LaVine midseason and balance the overall roster. LaVine took on a new-look role as a blending player in Philly, but his two-way excellence helped the Sixers finish the season strong. Meanwhile, Kelly Oubre Jr.'s defensive versatility was key throughout the year, as Oubre wore many hats (starting SG, starting SF, backup SG/SF) en route to a 1.16 Stock-minus-Turnover differential and an impressive 48 percent clip from three-point range. This team improvement, coupled with frontcourt phenom Khaman Maluach, helped the Sixers navigate a brutally tough Atlantic division.

Ralph

Team Performance: 50-32, +4.6 (27/28 Record: 33-49, -5.1)

Trades Made:
8/20/2025: Jazz trade King Gibson, Ziaire Williams, Liam Robbins, Tristan Da Silva, UTA 29, VAN 30, UTA 32, and 800 RP. Kings trade Nikola Jokic, Danny Wolf, Xavian? Lee.
8/20/2025: Jazz trade Josh Giddey, Liangelo Ball, Christian Wood, Eric Blaylock, rights to the lesser of SEA/IND 29 FRPs, and 600 RP. Bulls trade De’Aaron Fox.

Net Assets Out:
King Gibson, Ziaire Williams, Liam Robbins, Tristan Da Silva, Josh Giddey, Liangelo Ball, Christian Wood, Eric Blaylock, UTA 29 FRP, VAN 30 FRP, UTA 32 FRP, the lesser of SEA/IND 29 FRPs, and 1400RP.

Net Assets In:
Nikola Jokic, De’Aaron Fox, Danny Wolf, Xavian Lee

Relevant FA Signings:

Luke Kornet

Depth Chart:
Pre-Day 30 Fox trade, had FVV running point w/ Wolf/Jabroni/Joker starting at 3-5 respectively. Post day 30 Fox trade, Fox starts at PG, FVV moved to starting SG, Ariza to SF, Jabroni/Jokic stay the same. Danny Wolf gets moved to back up 1-5 and explodes. Fox/Jabroni/Joker become options 1-3 ROS. Tweaked to balance for a sim or two but ran Outside the rest of the season.

Overall Value Added:
I know what you are thinking, without Luke Kornet, this team is nowhere close to as good as it is. I guess ill talk about the other additions even though this should be a one sentence section. The build started last season when Ralph snagged Sabonis. Not staying complacent and buying into the tank clock, Ralph snagged Jokic and Danny Wolf from the Kangz. Jokic is Jokic and pairing him w/ Sabonis was a top tier idea. The Fox add is what it is as well, adding a top tier PG to his team for pennies on the dollar. The lowkey biggest win of Ralphs moves though is Danny Wolf, who set new career highs in practically every category. Nice use of that 1-5 supersub idea. Fun when crazy thoughts work.

Nolan

Team Performance: 46-36, +2.6 (27/28 Record: 44-38, +0.5)

Trades Made:

Raptors trade: Markelle Fultz
Rockets trade: Deandre Ayton, Right to swap HOU 2030 FRP with TOR 2030 FRP, HOU 2031 FRP, HOU 2032 FRP, HOU 2032 2RP, HOU 2033 2RP, 300 RP

Net Assets Out: Deandre Ayton, Right to swap HOU 2030 FRP with TOR 2030 FRP, HOU 2031 FRP, HOU 2032 FRP, HOU 2032 2RP, HOU 2033 2RP, 300 RP

Net Assets In: Markelle Fultz

Relevant FA Signings: Rockets Sign SG Pacome Dadiet for $24,000,000 over 5 years,

Depth Chart: 2 depth charts all year, same make for both, balanced for both, only change was press and trap change from normal to often in both

Overall Value Added: Nolan made a big trade at the beginning of the season to secure fultz while giving up Ayton and 2 FRPs. adding 2 PPG in differential and 2 more wins as compared to last year. Not much in the department of playing with the depth chart or adding additional pieces, but the team did improve slightly. Secured Pacome on a long term MLE type contract in FA as well

Heimer

Team Performance: 52-30, +7.3 (Last year: 47-35, +5.4)

Trades Made:
Scottie Barnes for Derrick Jones Jr, Chris Boucher, salary, 1000 RP, NJN 2031 FRP
Payton Pritchard for Davion Mitchell and 200 RP

Net Assets Out: Scottie Barnes, Payton Pritchard

Net Assets In: Derrick Jones Jr, Chris Boucher, 1200 RP, NJN 2031 FRP

Relevant FA Signings: FEET, Jabari Smith, Bilal Coulibaly

Depth Chart: Normal, with some experimentation after the DJJ / Scottie Barnes trade

Overall Value Added:
Only a few season removed from a Hawks dynasty, Heimer retooled his way into another contender. This season, he moved on from Scottie Barnes and got back a first that has a chance to be in the lotto and enough RP to buy another mid-late first. Most trades that net you future assets come at the price of worsening your team short-term - but this deal actually improved the Hawks short term and was a big reason he was able to get above 50 wins.

Jwoo

Team Performance: 61-21, +10.9. Last Year: 61-21, +12.4

Trades Made:

8/08/2025: Raptors trade TOR 31 FRP and 300RP. Grizzlies trade LAC 28 FRP (18th overall).
8/11/2025: Raptors trade Markelle Fultz. Rockets trade Deandre Ayton, right to swap HOU 30 FRP w/ TOR 30 FRP, HOU 31 FRP, HOU 32 FRP & SRP, HOU 33 SRP, and 300RP.
8/27/2025: Raptors trade Dante Allen, Jordan Poole, Pascal Siakam, Bobby Portis, Jordan Page, better of HOU/TOR 2030 FRPs, and DAL 31 SRP. Lakers trade Josh Hart and Amarion Dickerson.

Net Assets Out:
Markelle Fultz, Dante Allen, Jordan Poole, Pascal Siakam, Bobby Portis, Jordan Page, TOR 31 FRP, better of TOR/HOU 2030 FRPs, DAL 31 SRP, and 300RP.

Net Assets In:
Martay Barnes, Deandre Ayton, Josh Hart, Amarion Dickerson, HOU 31 FRP, HOU 32 FRP & SRP, and HOU 33 SRP.

Relevant FA Signings: N/A

Depth Chart: Tinkered mostly with backups. Kept the same starting five all season, except when Traore went down for a period of time. Fast/Normal/Normal/Balanced 100% of the year.

Overall Value Added: After months of paying for Rivals skins for Ashes and getting rewarded in the draft lotto for it, Jwoo has the Raptors at the top of the standings every season. This team tied their win total from last season and made a swift move for their future at the same time. It won’t go as a true Net Add for Jeremy but giving the starting role to Traore is the reason Toronto was able to bring in FC help in Ayton. Premier wing rebounding is difficult to find, insert giving away a litany of parts for a do-it-all, rebounding savant, in Hart. Is this team better w/ Fultz? Statistically, yes. JWoo had to plan for a better future though, and succeeded without hurting his present.
