DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT, you know i love it. Not sure if anyone out there does based on who visits my draft reactions article but hey maybe next year. Most, if not ALL of you should have seen the Trail Blazers article by now. This is gonna be the same thing.

Our scouts and I recently made the rounds at a showcase for some prospects for this upcoming draft and wouldn't you believe who i saw. None other than recently un-retired draft guru, Paul Givony. So there I am, walking into the stadium and i see him waving hello at me...or so i thought. I started to wave back and all i hear from behind me is "Hey, Paul!" from our very own GMs Samothy Quadratic IV and Sir Westoniath of House Hanesiann? Hannessian? Hanessian? The stain of embarrassment clung further as both Sam and Wes walk by without acknowledging me. Our fucking intern Randy bursts out laughing, then whispering to me "thats so awkward, are you embarrassed because im embarrassed for you." DEFEATED I WAS NOT though because I had 4 games of some talented BALLERS to watch.

Some interesting tidbits before i give my profiles:
-Cash Knipple is indeed a prospect. Who was seen wearing Miami merch in-between games.
-Reggie Evans, Kendrick Perkins, and Thaddeus Young were in attendance to watch their sons play.
-Best names: Falco Prophet, Praise Badejo, Pierce Paul, and Armin Schwarz
-Class as whole still figuring out best positions. Lots of changes positionally, game to game.
-Givony's starbucks cup had "Done." written on it. Whatever that means.
-Rating prospect's def and reb off of a few games is a fools errand and quiet maddening.

Rules to our profiles:
-We are only allowed to do 5. I am doing 6 because Sam did Pierce Paul and I wanna do one for him too but im giving others for the sake of info. DO WHAT YOU WANT GIVONY!
-We are allowed to give you all the games(i think so) but im not gonna.
-We are allowed to write them however we like.

Without further ado. Some Players.

PROFILES:
*there will be a fair amount of understating and overstating def/reb...outside, yuh know probably every rating. Maybe i was given this task because i dont know dick about propsects and Givony chose to torture me.
Armin Schwarz - Big Man; Possible Ratings: B- / C+ / C- / C / C+ / B
Strengths:Nice inside game. Scorer. Ball on a string. Prettay good post presence on defense. Good Jump Shot?
Weaknesses:Lack of stocks. Strength.
Analysis:If you put the ball in Armin Hammer's hands, anywhere from 18ft in, he is going to go to work and everybody knows it. Enjoy it, because he is not passing that ball. Sometimes you just gotta let a guy cook. He only took a couple shots from outside, showing it could be part of his game one day. I think if he becomes a prospect, some of you might think SF. Maybe that is the case with Armin. Yet overall, i am looking at uber efficient 4, who wont turn it over and can heat up in a flash. I think he is hella weak, which causes a downturn of his defensive skills. Which is pretty brutal considering the nickname i gave him. Isnt bald either sadly. Point blank he played really well...on offense. Not too sure about defense but i could tell he just doesn't sell out for the squad. Sad really, because his offense is beautiful for a front court player.

Draydne McDaniels - Wing; Possible Ratings: B- / B- / B- / C+ / C+ / A
Strengths:Good quickness for SF. Great vision. Steal a game. Occasional block. Defense is probably positive. Above average rebounder. Good strength?
Weaknesses:Handles need work. Shooting coach required.
Analysis:Shooters shoot, right? RIGHT? Over four games, the alt McDaniels brother was pulling shots like high school Emoni Bates. Must have all the confidence in the world, because those misses didnt mean a thing to him. He was still perhaps, the best overall player on the floor. He does it all. A 4/12 game can change the outlook of a guy after four games so i wont be too harsh about his shooting. Regardless, i really do like his overall game. If you can reign in his turnovers(unlikely), get those stocks to tick up, and his shooting takes form then why not. He plays defense, gets rebounds, and gets to the line. He really might be better at defense than C+. How do you think one pronounces Draydne? It starts like Draymond but i have zero clue what to do with the "dne". WOW, fake player move? dne = does not exist? nah too far. Hate to say it Draydne but you like a cross b/w my top two SFs. I love one of them but you know, not everyones cup of tea. I do wonder the long term play of being a non option. Probably spicy. I still feel like im underselling his defense.

Kenxton Perkins - Wing but highkey a SG; Possible Ratings: B- / C / C- / B- / C+ / B
Strengths:Block a game?! Great rebounder at the 2. Probs strong. Great pos defender.
Weaknesses:Handles.
Analysis:K-Perk part deux: Guard O'Clock. Sounds like a legit ESPN segment for the ex-SLN great. His son is squished down version of perk. Same beef cake, just shorter. Could probably be a serviceable jump shooter but zero 3P to speak of. He might not be the quickest at the 2 and he will probably need his butter fingers wiped down but he is strong as his father and is going to shut shit down on defense. If your still reading then you dont care. You have bought into the niche idea that Baby Perk will be a good role player for you and can blast his names on the boards. Fix the turnovers, juice the defense, maybe give some NDL love to his jumper. HAVE FUN! Know this now though, Baby Perk will be more fun than all the inside wings that Tyler "loves".

Lazar Bratic - Big Man; Possible Ratings: C+ / C / C / B- / B- / A
Strengths:Boards. Might get close to a steal a game. Good strength.
Weaknesses:Not the quickest. Blocks need some help.
Analysis: Let me introduce you to Blade, LAZAR, Blazer... Lazar Bratic, an appeasable version of Armin Schwarz. Inside nowhere closed to as juiced, wait, pause. Lazar is a well rounded front court prospect. 2nd try: His inside game is there but its much more complementary than a player like Armin. The catch though, Lazar plays more team basketball aka he will be sharing the ball a little bit more. Well, a lot more in comparison. He is decently strong already and very active on defense. Showing higher steals than blocks is a nice long term outlook. Passes it a touch more than some would like but the dude shows even stock/to ratio with that. Pretty cool prospect imo.

Pierce Paul - SG; Possible Ratings: C / B- / C / B- / C+ / B
Strengths: Uno reverse. Draw PP.
Weaknesses: None.
Analysis: Just trying to beat Sam.

Praise Badejo - Combo Guard; Possible Ratings: C / B- / B- / C / C+ / B
Strengths:Low turnovers. Above average rebounder at the 1. Outmuscles other guards. Great game manager. Good vision.
Weaknesses:Not stocky
Analysis:Badej-O,Badej-O, Baylight come and we want go home. Yeah, that didnt work but IT TOTALLY WORKED. Full transparency, i had my head up my ass with peaking at a lot of PFs and SFs on our trip, so i am taking some shots in the dark here on a PG prospect. Either Praise has stickem on his hands or there was just ZERO pressure on him at any point in time. SG? 1 turnover. PG? 1 turnover. Zero read on his defense, i think he is passable but no one really went at him. Definitely a guy that wont require the ball and can the little things to help a team win. Will he ever be a starter? Idk but Praise looks like a guy you want as your backup if one day you look at the sim and realize your starting PG is gone for the next 15 days.

------

For Paul Givony: I was going to write up profiles for Denym Wallace and Michael Hightower, but i just felt like writing 4 profiles for PF-SF types was a bit overkill. Apologies, but Ill write more if allowed.

P.S. might edit tomorrow
