5 MOAR Trades That Should Happen - Circa 2012

Spoiler, this has more than 5 trades because as Ashes and I learned this season, I can't count. I have to say, this is by far the most boring one of these I've done. It feels like the majority of the league is just sort of stuck in their positions and the sellers don't really have much crap to sell. Anyways,

Trade #1: Vancouver - Atlanta
Grizzlies Trade:
Kirk Hinrich
150 RP

Hawks Trade:
Delonte West

I told you these would be pretty bad, didn't I? Honestly, the Grizzlies roster is pretty immaculate and Josh has done a terrific job team building to this point. He's entering a pretty unknown offseason but this is an SLN Title favorite so don't rock the boat. He could use a slight upgrade at backup PG. I figured Delonte will be cheap enough and he was pretty solid for me in a pinch last year. Kirk turns the ball over too much and doesn't really do much else despite having a superior defensive rating.

Trade #2: Utah - Indiana
Jazz Trade:
Milos Teodosic
Sergiy Gladyr
350 RP

Pacers Trade:
Corey Brewer

Jazz make a small move to upgrade their bench depth. Any minutes Milos plays are bad minutes for the Jazz and Corey adds some steals with decent efficiency. He's not special but a nice role player to have. Is Corey Brewer the most random person to have scored 50 in an NBA game? Maybe. Is he a Gainesville legend, most definitely.

Trade #3: Milwaukee - Golden State
Warriors Trade:
Andray Blatche

Bucks Trade:
Patrick O'Bryant
Joel Pryzbilla
400 RP

Another tiny RP move (I think we see the trend here). I avoided 4 of Golden State's players because Shams reported they might be "off-limits" in trade discussions. Bucks add a better rebounder/defender in Blatche to bolster their front court depth and provide lineup options in the playoffs to allow KD to play the 3 or 4.

Trade #4: Seattle - Golden State
Supersonics Trade:
Kyle Lowry
SEA 17 FRP top 7 protected

Warriors Trade:
Von Wafer
Andray Blatche

Nick doesn't really have anything else to trade, which Clint uses as leverage to lower the protection on this pick a bit. Lowry turns into real bench depth for the Sonics as Alexander has become the backup PG for Jeff Teague. Clint gets to take a flier on Kyle Lowry as a potential PG of the future and pray. Maybe this can be like when Kyle ended up in Toronto after Houston and Memphis

Trade #5: Toronto - Washington
Raptors Trade:
Chris Andersen
Marc Gasol
Paul Millsap
Gordon Hayward
Better of ORL/DET 12 FRP
PHX 16 FRP

Bullets Trade:
Manu Ginobili
Kevin Seraphin
Sergio Llull

Clearly, this is where things get a little more wacky and fun. Of course, Jwoo has to make a move to unite the Spanish Inquisition, Ricky Rubio and Sergio Llull. That's all this trade is realistically about. Plus Weston gets to turn Manu into a bunch of other guys and assets who can help him extend his window. Finding a good trade for Manu was surprisingly harder than you'd think. Here Weston gets a couple 1sts to either use or flip that should be solid, a couple useful bigs, the return of MIllsap, and a fun flier on former lotto pick Gordon Hayward who could maybe be the future at SF with OJ and CP3.

Trade #6: Boston - Detroit
Pistons Trade:
Lou Williams
Stephen Jackson

Celtics Trade:
Kwame Brown
HOU 14 FRP
BOS 17 FRP

I don't think this has a chance in hell of happening but it did seem kinda fun when I was desperately searching for anything fun. Kwame fills Detroit's giant hole at the 4 and Lou Williams maybe gets a chance to run PG? I think Brandon Roy will eventually be the odd man out at SG but hey, why not have some fun.
