Front Loaded Contracts:...pause

A team may sign a player to a front loaded contract: ex. 16.5M / 14M / 12.5M

When giving a player a contract offer, you will still message Ashes in the same terminology used previously for signing players.
Ex. Player Name – 1st year salary - # of years - % increase

Only after the player is signed / resigned you will message Ashes that you want them Front-Loaded and it will be tracked in this thread.

Rules:
1. Teams may only do this once every 3 seasons

2. You must make your decision on using a front loaded contract IMMEDIATELY.
*No waiting for another sim or taking time to think; have it figured out

3. Cost:
1000 RP for Resignings
1250 RP for Free Agents

Now the rules are different than what ashes posted in 1.0? If I’m allowed to I’d like to front load Tony parker

Is the deadline for front loading resignings TC or FA day 1?

It seems way too powerful to get to decide post-hoc if you strike out on other FA targets. IMO should have to declare immediately upon signing or even beforehand

All I did was change rule 2 and 3 to reflect if you have someone that offers to resign, make it known you want to front-load before FA1. For rule 3, its if you have any free agent signings, make it known that you want to front-load before TC.

Yes but Ashes’ post in the other thread said that the deadline for both was TC for consistency - which is why this is confusing.

I def get Quady’s pov, I’m totally happy either way. Just want to know what the rule is so that I can put in S+T offers with the space I’d have without the front loaded contract
