I think there would be an interesting article idea around looking at the historical success of teams that are paying one player $25M+ (or whatever big number). Try to get a sense of whether it's historically possible to win while you're hamstrung by a deal like that

Totally, but I think you guys may have been the shallowest team to win yet, which is not a criticism but more a feat - incredible starting 5 (4?) and a uniquely dominant and fine-tuned winning formula, but each starter was so unique and irreplaceable (even within the league!) that if you sustained an injury to one of them for a playoff series I think the team may have had a tough time pulling through. I’d guess there have been similarly built teams (not on inside, but depth wise) that have gotten unlucky in the playoffs with injuries and flamed out bc they couldn’t afford the necessary depth
