CELTICS

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Jamal Crawford. Damn it just feels good to write that. Greatest player to ever touch a basketball deserves this award.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Emeka Okafor - dude finally played more than 35 games an lo and behold we won a whole lot more.

MOST IMPROVED: Gary Harris. Perfect injection of efficient offense off the bench, just what we needed.

SIXTH MAN: I'll go with Gary Harris again - I wish I'd made him an option earlier, guy was borderline unstoppable. Special shoutout to Jordan Hamilton for his production as well!

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Jamal Crawford re-signing for peanuts! Pretty sure he hadn't done that previously in his career.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Getting bounced in the first round in a Game 7 at home after we'd dominated every previous home game in the series. Two straight years losing in the first round with home court - first year it was injuries, nothing to blame it on this past year.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Jamal Crawford!

REGRETS: Not trading for Crawford earlier in his career tbh
Celtics ah the balls

TEAM AWARDS

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Rashad McCants Dude is perfect in basically every way, worth every penny of his enormous contract

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Mike Conley. Locks up opponent PGs on the regular - pretty underrated player in the league

MOST IMPROVED: RoCo. Didn't get to see a lot of him but all of his numbers have been slowly ticking up

SIXTH MAN: OJ Mayo. But good riddance you money grubbing SOB.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Going up 2-1 and stealing homecourt from the Nets in the second round

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: ......blowing the next 3 games and losing in 6

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Tyson Chickens for 690 RP! Have always coveted Chandler, and he's one of my favorite real life Bulls of all time. Hopefully he retires in the red and black

REGRETS: the chokejob!

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER:
Trey Burke. 23 points per 36 on 48/41/95 shooting last season won us a few too many games. Guessing he'll level up this season after jumping to B- Inside

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR:
Myles Turner. 2.9 blocks per 36 as a rookie is insane. Can't wait to see what his boxes look like after +3 in TC, with his Defense jumping to flat A as a 20 year old

MOST IMPROVED:
Victor Oladipo. Improved across the board last year, with his scoring and defense going up, while his TOs went way down. Hoping he had a nice under-the-hood TC for us

SIXTH MAN:
Sasha Pavlovic? Idk our depth was not great last year

BIGGEST SURPRISE:
Winning 37 games. Turner was way better than I expected from a rookie big. Plus, Oladipo and Burke improved significantly so we couldn't tank as well as we wanted

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:
Winning 37 games - not great for a tank

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR:
Drafting Turner. I was happy he slipped to 4, think he'll end up the best player in his class (though KAT and Rozier look awesome too)

REGRETS:
None. The rebuild largely went according to plan and we're ready to compete this season!

Warriors 2015-16 Team Awards:
*held at a local Dairy Queen, participation trophies were not awarded this year due to the RP pandemic

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Tobias Harris
To start, Tobias, we have traded you to Chicago. Sorry man. I knew you wanted to fuck around in the Bay a little bit more but hey, everyone has to be a winning player eventually, good luck.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Mike Muscala and Larry Nance…Jr
Mike and Larry, you two really were the perfect tandem for the frontcourt this year. Did you rebound? Not really. But did you get steals at the 4/5? Yes you two fucking did! Glad to have you two back for another year.

MOST IMPROVED: Jabari Parker
My newest prodigy, you brought just what we needed this year and im sorry i didnt let you spread your wings entirely yet. You started 90% of the year and your percentages on your increased usage were just what we planned for year 2. Now that Tobias is gone, your time is now.

SIXTH MAN: Jimmer Fredette
Jim…Jimmyy…Jimmer. You are truly one of the elite scorers in this league. Thanks for accepting being a backup and lighting up the world. Sorry we sucked and you didnt play defense enough for us to be good but hey as long as you wanna stay we will have you.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Matthew Dellevadova
Really never sure if i misspell your last name or not but wow after a rocky first 40 days i did not expect your handles to be that legit. In due time i think you will be the perfect game manager we need. BDD loading…

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Muscala
Get your ass back up here Moose. Two years of pure domination in the NDL and all of a sudden your percentages drop off? Last year better of been you getting acclimated because wowser.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: 2019 FRP swap with NYK

REGRETS: 2019 FRP swap with NYK

NDL SHOUTS:
Spencer Dinwiddie: Was pretty filthy last year but got injured right before the playoffs and sunk our B2B hopes. No worries, get ready for the SLN my guy.

Rodney Hood: IDK what you want from me anymore. Youre fully camped but somehow you really dont give a fuck in the offseason. Whatever man, you’re still part of the future and Santa Cruz Warriors are yours this year so have fun.

Trey Lyles: Are you another SF who is labeled PF? I looked at your Basketball Reference again and dear lord. You truly hate defense. Idk Santa Cruz has had some legendary PFs, so hopefully year two will be legit.

Willy Hernangomez: Dude, stop eatting popcorn before and during games. Turnovers need to stop. Other than that sorry for not drafting Juancho.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Tyreke the freak Evans
The man broke out of the pack and became a top flight SG i’m the league. proud dad over here

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Joakim Noah
superb defensive big. creating possessions like it’s his job. thought that sounded nice but it actually is his job.

MOST IMPROVED: Tyreke the freak Evans.
fully broke out offensively and went from mid 20s to low 30s in terms of volume per game.

SIXTH MAN: Anthony Morrow
He was very good in his role last season. Unfortunately didn’t retain him.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Getting KD.
I think it was a great move for both sides but definitely didn’t go into the season thinking that was on the table.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Jonas Valanciunas.
Guy came out of the gate super hot to start the season Averaging something like 15 and 13 on efficient splits. Unfortunately He regressed nearly the entire season. For a Bounce Back season.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Kevin Durant
Trading for Kevin Durant single-handedly won me GM of the year. I was struggling to find a starting small forward And winding up with Kevin Durant is pretty special.

REGRETS: no ragerts
Welcome to Atlanta where the playas play
And we ride on dem thangs like ev-ery day
Big beats, hit streets, see gangstahs roamin'
And parties don't stop 'til eight in the Monin

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Kyrie. Back to back MVP. But his piano hiatus was so frustrating

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Eddie G. Great season defensively but hurt offensively

MOST IMPROVED: Jeff Teague I guess? Didn’t have a lot of young guys really coming up but Teague was great as a backup PG

SIXTH MAN: JR Smith. Came off the bench for great scoring at the 2 and some steals

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Eddie G’s shooting woes. He had the worst season of his career shooting and that negated how impactful he was on the defensive end.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Kyrie’s piano lessons. We were in a fight for seeding in the East and he killed us

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Eddie G was my only big move, but turned into a mixed bag

REGRETS: I made some bad DC choices that probably lost me some games

TEAM AWARDS

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Between the 3 headed dragon of Jimmy/Bosh/Deron.. probably Jimmy. Rock solid #1 option again and again.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Bosh. Continues to anchor the defense.

MOST IMPROVED: Drummond, hoping for another big leap this year.

SIXTH MAN: Drummond, a solid season backing up 4/5 again.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Being knocked out in the first round. Thought we'd get to the second round, but tough draw against the Hawks!

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Deng's injury in the middle of the season. We were 15-2 and +11 with Deng in the starting lineup up to that point, think we would have won the division otherwise.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Didn't make any huge moves last season, but Jamal Sampson was a huge signing that enabled Drummond to keep subbing at 4/5 and marinate for another season.

REGRETS: Not making a bigger move last season. A few were close but nothing materialized... maybe different this season?!
