Draft Profile: Kenyon Martin
Kenyon Martin
Strengths: Good strength at the 4. Decent scoring in the paint with good leaping ability. Should get some stocks. Good positional defender. Pretty good rebounder. Great quickness for a big man.
Weaknesses: Jump shot leaves a bit to be desired. Outside game in general is lacking. Decision-making needs work: can look lost at times.
Scout's Take: Kenyon Martin is a bit of a head-scratcher. He had flashes of brilliance and seemed to be a lock for the #1 but now scouts are quietly beginning to question his upside. One scout put it "He's a polished guy who is unpolished. Makes no sense." Not sure what to make of that, but his defensive motor should still garner him some attention.
