2015 Top 10 SLN Mock Draft

Post by SoNicks »

1st Pick - Karl Anthony Towns
This man is another versatile two way big men entering the draft in recent years. Hes strong with Stocks AND rebounds. Sounds like hes got a good interior game. Will be interesting to see how he is supercamped but there's little doubt his floor is all star for years and years. Will it go all offense and handles or sprinkle a little all over or hammer the defensive end and hope his Offensive game develops naturally?!?! Any tanking team would be thrilled to have him as he has the mold for either Center or Stretch PF. Would be surprised to not see him go number 1.

Second pick - Devin Booker
Sounds like this man is going to be the next great one way offensive wings. He might be a turnstyle but he can torch them better than they will torch him. WIll be curious about the peak volume hes able to reach and how Stock TO bad his ratio is going to be, but there's little doubt hell be a superb starter to build around.

Third Pick - Tingus Pingus
Ashes said “Dirk” in the profile, so if he goes #1 I understand why. I think hes the unicorn of the class and will be a very fun SF. He wont have Dirks low TO mark but theres reason to believe his floor is a very very good two way Forward. Might get good rebounds for a small forward and with some stocks id ting that ping. If his shot gets wet and he doesn't have butter fingers, its no far stretch seeing KP as the best of this draft class.

Fourth Pick - Myles Turner
In what feels like a pretty major step off after 1-3, Myles is still a solid pick in what feels like a 5 player draft. Seems like this man is gonna be a Defensive Stonewall. Hes gonna be the next 2-3 block a game guy and probably a half a steal. I imagine hell be better at rebounding than real life, but its a major weak spot for him no doubt. Might be the first dude to merit fully camping out his rebounding. Luckily it sounds like hes interior scoring game and range will be good enough to get efficient buckets and make fts at a high rate. Hes 77% IRL. This Merits a high potential and if he can develop, look out.

Fifth Pick - D'angelo Russell
The last sure fire pick in the draft imo, D’angelo will be a fun guard to acquire. Sounds like he has high potential so it will take time to develop. If his TOs aren't overly a problem, then he should be stock positive. But i am worried about his TOs if his quickness is really high. I'm curious how much of that B- IS is IS vs other things. But looks like this man has the potential to score with the best of him. Low key could get the Jameer Nelson career trajectory if his TCs prove saucy.

Sixth Pick -Terry Rozier
There are not many other notable guards in this class at first glance. Scary Terry could be stipped, though im excited for him regardless. Hell be a scoring first guard and if he has any potential, he could be a sleeper pick to flesh out into a competitive PG in this league. Hell get you buckets. Im curious if hell get notes.

Seventh Pick - Justise Winslow
He has “kawhi” in his notes so thats interesting. It doesnt sound like he has a ton of potential or an offensive game, but if his IS isnt all jumping, then hopefully an offensive supercamp turns this man into a sufficient two way starter in this league. Sounds like his rebounding and defensive prowess provides an excellent floor and if theres any TC in the tank, he could be good.

Eighth Pick - Jahil Okafor
Could easily understand this man falling to the NDL cuz his career went downhill fast. And even at his carrer best (his rookie year) theres not too much to get excited about a big who has 2+TOs, 7 rebounds per game, and barely a block a game as well…That being said, this man had “very high potential” coming into the league and a highly touted post game. If his TCs pan out better than real life, maybe he has a future.

Ninth Pick - Montrezl Harrell -
Another big? Idk at this point without the notes and what not, but this is pretty much the only guy who had a really good stint on a good team. He won a 6MOY and might be an average or slightly better rebounder. Looks likes he'll get you points in spurts and will do so with supreme efficiency if IRL is any indicator. And might be a one block one steal a game type of fellow too which is nice. Ton of maybes at this point but i like this pick over Jahil 9/10 cuz what are the odds his high potential saves him?

Tenth Pick - Larry Nance JR? Kelly Oubre? Bobby Portis? Mario Hezonia?
I got no clue rn haha, Kelly can light it up.. But can he? Hes been shooting guard number #1 option on tanking teams his entire career. Will have smol d. I like Bobby portis here cuz i liked him in Milwaukee but i think Nance could be a guy? I'm also hoping Hezonia has a crazy weird stip. We need more crazy stips on these garbage cans cuz i want literally none of these guys.
