Today, we usher in a new era of the Orlando Magic. We have experienced the highs of Run TMC and Andrew Bogut’s Fun Bunch along with the lows of Shawn Kemp, ZW’s stewardship, and the last few seasons. With the acquisitions of SLN Champion Kawhi Leonard, the ever-solid Al Horford, indomitable Darko Milicic, super-scoring OJ Mayo, and bruising Jason Thompson, the Magic’s GM, Weremy Jew, and assistant GM, Sam Hinkie, feel they have brought Orlando back to the brink of contention.
We thank the fan base for their patience during the last few seasons. We have been fortunate enough to draft promising young talent like Julius Randle, Marcus Smart, and Devin Booker among countless others. Our hope is that the addition of these veterans can help push the Magic forward to greater heights than this franchise has ever reached. Moving forward, the Magic will exhibit patience with an ever watchful eye on new opportunities that can improve the franchise’s long term outlook.
