Torn between JWoo and Ralph, ultimately went with JWoo too. Thought the Boogie and TP trades were massive and the overall team construction was fantastic. Great season everyone!

Not sure who I'm voting for yet.

Raptors had a great season and a series of good moves, but it seems like the main argument is he won more games than the point differential would suggest? To me that makes the Raptors lucky, not "well coached" or whatever that means. That being said the deandre jordan trade was great, malcolm brogdon filled in well for livingston, parker was a good pickup for free, and the team won 9 more games than last year. Probably enough for GMOTY.

Ralph had a historically dominant team with a 13.5 point differential, and a big trade for jameer. deng MLE pickup was huge (but also lucky given how many MLE bids there were for Deng). Not an incredibly flashy GM season but well rounded and resulted in one of the best teams in SLN history.

I'll throw Tong's name in the ring too. 9.3 PPG differential (2nd best in league) and also increased win total by 9 YoY. Traded for the best (or second best) PG in the league and only gave up a non-superstar Jimmy and a prospect and a pick.

Nav had a great year. Won 17 more games than last season. 6.8 PPG differential (4th in league). Big FA pickup in Rudy Gay. Not any big trades of note though.

Jordo should be in the mix. the Jaylen Brown/Kawhi trade probably makes up for the Deandre Jordan move. Overall he got younger and better this year and won 7 more games than last. It helps that Love went vegan.

Will try to remember to update when i make up my mind

jk.

jwoo was masterful in his moves this season and is certainly worthy. however i don’t think as clear cut as everyone thinks. his team is pretty unbelievable… i mean they not only survived but thrived when Shaun went out and was forced to play Brogdon Brogdonavic which shows how well bout the team is. amazing stuff jwoo. coach of the year!

Ralph also has been on a tear as GM. I can’t lie - i wasn’t fully sold on them a couple years ago. the move to grab jameer was excellent. #moarmoves

Tonger had a nice squad to start the season but to me seemed like they were missing a superstar 2-way PG to compliment his mammoth front court. in my opinion his title equity rose the most and was very active in filling out depth around his big 3.

Vote Tonger! That Tong Tong Tong Tong Tong - Cisco

Jordo campaigned. He’s out

Jwoo soft campaigned. He’s out.

Tong got the MVP and dominated some moves. Dude wants to tank so bad but they just keep giving him reasons to be good. Great season. Guy is such a good GM he just silently meditated and still cooked us all

Tough call between Ralph and JWoo like many have said. Ultimately decided to go JWoo off pure degree of difficulty this season to win 60+ games. The deck was stacked against them with the Shaun injury and they still won the East due to savvy moves and the Boogie acquisition.

I think my reason to vote JWoo over Ralph is due to the confinements of this season. The Jameer Nelson and Deng acquisitions put this Jazz team from good to great which is tough to do. Ralph cooked me in the Greg Oden trade a couple seasons ago in the frenzy who’s new found offense efficiency is the reason why this team is such a force imo.

Fun season all!

Voted jwoo

He brought on Deandre, Boogie, Tony Parker, Hump Man... all great moves that rounded out a great couple seasons

I think Nav isn't getting enough buzz for grabbing the 2 seed after not making the playoffs last season. He made a variety of smart moves that started with drafting Embiid and now he's already a strong contender in Embiid's 3rd season
