it's legal. he has coring rights.jwoo wrote: ↑September 13th, 2024, 9:15 amFWIW I think solution here would be put Burke on a two year min and just move forwardjwoo wrote: ↑September 12th, 2024, 3:25 pm 76ers Sign PG Trey Burke for $3,005,410 over 4 years
Not to be a grinch here. But I don't think this contract is legal per our rules? DMo didn't have bird rights on him and should have only been able to offer a two-year min (or an exception). Obviously FBB took the contract, but I didn't know this was allowed for players who we didn't have bird rights on.
Did Burke not finish the season on the Nuggets? He wasn't on the Sixers last year was he?The Transfer Portal wrote: ↑September 13th, 2024, 10:15 amit's legal. he has coring rights.jwoo wrote: ↑September 13th, 2024, 9:15 amFWIW I think solution here would be put Burke on a two year min and just move forwardjwoo wrote: ↑September 12th, 2024, 3:25 pm 76ers Sign PG Trey Burke for $3,005,410 over 4 years

"It’s the evilness of the business that I don’t really care about, not the media per se. It’s the ill intent that comes along with it. Searching for headlines, searching for stories, clickbait. That’s the part I don’t like." - DeMarcus Cousins
oh i just assumed he was. i don't know how that bid would even get thru FBB?jwoo wrote: ↑September 13th, 2024, 10:15 amDid Burke not finish the season on the Nuggets? He wasn't on the Sixers last year was he?
neither have I, that's why I didn't voice any concerns with it, FBB has always told me no when it came to bids like this if they weren't validThe Transfer Portal wrote: ↑September 13th, 2024, 10:18 am never seen a bid like that go through in fbb
regardless, the outcome will be just me changing it to a 2 year min because I am 99% sure 76ers still land him at that bid
the only thing i can think of is 5 years exp is the sweet spot for a bid like this to work out perfectly within FBB's built in rules that typically stops 3-4 year deals that usually result in year 3 or 4 falling below the minimum salary
Fun fact. Jesse drafted him for the Warriors when I took over for Grant a few days later. I believe. Maybe Grant made the pick but yea. Go Raul and Borchardt
