I’m gonna roll with Hoff.

First of all, Mavs year

Second of all, he traded key guys from last year’s team and managed to make the most of Gobert, Ersan was a full on heist, and Bledsoe is fun Kyrie insurance. The guy has basically an entirely different roster outside of his core 3 and got even better.

Some good candidates this year with no runaway obvious vote for me, but I went with Matt - while the Bulls weren't a full-fledged contender, I think he did a great job of being effectively thrifty in flipping out of his tank and fielding a winning product. Fun maneuvering and ultimately a really solid team.

Love to see teams like the Spurs and Warriors make progress largely via continuity.

My vote is split between hoff and Tyler - losing the finals MVP to cap considerations and still being able to field a 50+ win team is admirable, especially when it involves trading for and then starting a non-lotto rookie at PG.

Also think Hoff should be mentioned given the fact that he won 58 games with a double digit point differential with a pretty different team than he had last year, but I’m not a huge fan of the value of the trades he made, so giving the edge to Tyler

I voted for Clint for a combination of 1/ long-term team building patience, and 2/ acquiring a top 3 point guard for a very reasonable price. Warriors will be very good for a very long time to come.

Voted for Matt. Like others said, not really any shoe-in cases this year, but this award is about how much championship equity you added with your decisions, and I think the answer is the Bulls - some teams may have gotten closer to a championship than Chicago did with their moves, but the YoY delta has to go to the Bulls. Going from the 2nd overall pick to the five seed in the East meant building a playoff team opportunistically from basically scratch, which is tough to do, particularly in the current league environment with not a ton of trade movement and tankers stripped pretty bare. Honorable mentions to Hoff and Jordo for their moves this year

Missed this too but would have voted for Matt. Really impressed with how the Bulls made the playoffs this year and took the Magic to 7 in round 1.
