Should be a regular season award. Almost like GMOTY should be abolished since there’s zero agreement on what it is?!

It is indeed a regular season award, always has been. And I went and did a full survey on what the award should be! It ain't perfect but until we change the award we should prob stick roughly to the agreed upon parameters

My should be point was more that we have had GMOTYs decided by playoff performances instead of what is intended.

I joined the league after the survey but have generally never understood the purpose of this award. Feels like each month it creates more trouble than it’s worth except when Heimer is just absolutely wrecking the league and being a studly, unanimous GMOTY. Props to you Heimah

If the award is just about patting Kipke and Wes on the back, then we should spend way more time commenting on each other’s teams during the season. Tons of people do terrific jobs with fun and interesting players who deserve to be talked about. For instance, Clint just set a franchise record for wins and his back court is filthy. Quady got 13 games from his franchise cornerstone and won 47 games while improving his differential from last year. Derek made one DC change and went from out of the playoffs around .500 to 48 wins (Trae over SGA being the key, I mean I wouldn’t have guessed that)
