And sure, shady fellas can all theoretically make handshake deals. That would be impossible to enforce. But this at least makes the league fairer and rules more explicit.

You effectively used 3,000 RPs in trades this season instead of 1500 and have almost every season. Trading future capital you technically don’t yet have access to for a current asset obviously is against the spirit of the rule so let’s change the rule so the enforcement mirrors the spirit

You can already do that man. You save 1500 do a pre TC trade and then immediately spend 1500 post Tc. Between the end of the season and the start of the next you can already spend 3000 RPs ‘legitimately’

This isn’t remotely confrontational and want to make sure it’s not taken as such, I’m just trying to get a better understanding of where you’re coming from on this before voting.

Is this mainly just an issue based on the timing of something happening or an actual larger problem? I feel like if it’s just the timing aspect, it’ll just end up like IRL NBA free agency where things get agreed to then trades drop right after TC than being posted before. Not sure that actually changes anything here.

If this were a pre-deadline or something I can see that being a big issue. Just trying to get a better feel for what you hope to achieve here.
