hmmm from my unbiased pov - Celtics currently sit outside the playoffs with a -5 point diff, gave up a top-10 pick last year, and don’t have any good players.Tyler wrote: April 12th, 2025, 11:31 pmYou are tied for the 8 seed, in the East, with all your good players under 30Joe wrote: April 12th, 2025, 9:36 pmThe Sonics were a playoff team, in the West, with all their players under 30 - my picks are lottos! How are these posts any different than the posts Nick made “Franz Wagner and 5 Sonics picks for a star” that you gave him so much shit for?
I also got some non Celtics picks for anyone interested

You told us Lonnie Walker and Jabari Parker were good!! I can’t trust you?Jesse wrote: April 13th, 2025, 7:01 amhmmm from my unbiased pov - Celtics currently sit outside the playoffs with a -5 point diff, gave up a top-10 pick last year, and don’t have any good players.Tyler wrote: April 12th, 2025, 11:31 pmYou are tied for the 8 seed, in the East, with all your good players under 30Joe wrote: April 12th, 2025, 9:36 pm

Nick had also just picked Franz Wagner at 7 in the lotto with his pick the year before after the Sonics were negative in point differential. I guess the difference is Nick was offering a prospect in addition to his picks, unlike Joe

lol this is some revisionist history. In 2020 the Sonics won 52 games. In 2021 they picked Wagner at 7…with the Clippers pick after making the playoffs with a positive differential. From 2021 onward they never had a negative point differential for a season or missed the playoffs. They weren’t an all star team for those couple years - but that’s why I mentioned the West, where it was a lot easier to make the playoffs in this particular era.Tyler wrote: April 13th, 2025, 9:32 am Nick had also just picked Franz Wagner at 7 in the lotto with his pick the year before after the Sonics were negative in point differential. That said, if you think Celtics picks are worthless when the East (and the Celtics roster) look like this and we just conveyed a top 10 pick with the flat lotto odds… then we are happy to hire you to the organization and give you a ring when we run rampant through the East playoffs and take the title this year
Celtics ah the balls

Also the comments about the Franz offers have been proven to be even more correct w hindsight, no?
Franz is pretty bad and the Sonics pick was 28th last year, projected to be 25-29 this year, and should be bad for the next few seasons.
Unlike the Celtics - which SUCK!!!
Unrelated, who would like the Celtics 25? Cooper Flagg, anyone?

Didn’t realize it was the Clippers pick that was selected, I was wrong. Think my overarching point remains though. The Sonics went about .500 both the seasons when they were making these posts. You are a game below .500 now and currently very much in the playoff picture in a weak East and a star would certainly vault you up the standings (like Lavine did to the Sonics). Both you and Nick are top 6 ranked GMs in the rankings so Celtics and Sonics picks historically haven’t amounted to squat. Think there is some hilarious irony in spamming these posts after flaming Nick on a pod for doing the sameJoe wrote: April 13th, 2025, 11:01 amlol this is some revisionist history. Celts ‘25 is jumping in the lotto, saying it here first .
True story: Celtics 24 jumped to #1 in the fbb lottery (without the flattened odds) and would have ironically given me Reed Sheppard
