BUCKS

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: KP - Kristaps did 24-12 with 3.5 stocks and 7 FTAPG

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: KP - 3.5 stocks / 12 boards

MOST IMPROVED: Donte Divincenzo - The Big Ragu put up 23-7 starting at SF

SIXTH MAN: Caleb Martin - Fartin per36 did 16-7 with 2.8 stocks

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Jeremiah Fears - Many of his minutes came as an uncamped starting PG, where Fears per36 did 3.3 stocks. With an incoming supercamp he could be interesante.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Getting swept

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Oladipo

REGRETS: N/A

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Lamelo Ball, reigning MVP, first in Spurs history, feel like he doesnt get talked about nearly enough in league circles. Had a down shooting year for him but averaged almost 13 assists a game, 2nd team all defense I believe, low TOs hes probably the most complete PG in the game. Safe to say hes found a home in SA.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Jaden McDaniels, down shooting year but his defense was as potent as ever averaging 3.6:1 at the 2.

MOST IMPROVED: Gradey shot lights out all year with 50/50/94 splits. His season did not get talked about enough but thats my son.

SIXTH MAN: Gradey Dick for the reasons mentioned above.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: How poorly the entire team shot for 2/3s of the entire season, we were at the bottom of the pack in FG% for most of it, lot of guys had their worst shooting years. Things vastly changed after moving KAT to PF.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Not winning GMOTY, was pretty bummed ngl. Had the biggest wins delta, won the division, improved throughout the season with trades and DC/position changes, thing people usually vote for. But got penalized for things like 'using my cap space and signing a top FA two years in a row,' being aggressive and 'not tanking for the full 3 years.' Voting criteria seems to change every season. Verbal Nick Young meme.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Acquiring league MVP Lamelo Ball.

REGRETS: Adding KD and not looking for better ways to use that cap space.
Aint too pretty in the face but, but she super thickkkk...Im just thinking with my DICK - Kevin Gates, Spurs Super Fan.

TEAM AWARDS

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: JDub! he's a star!

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Josh Minott; one of the best utility players in the league

MOST IMPROVED: Josh Minott; rebounding bump makes hiim a viable PF, which is huge

SIXTH MAN: Josh Minott; there's a lot of Josh Minott in this thread

BIGGEST SURPRISE: That we were as bad as we were. I'm still not sure what happened

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: That we were as bad as we were

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: I'm not sure, I made so many weird small trades throughout the season, maybe trading for Capela? He's good

REGRETS: Not reading the tea leaves right and realizing my team was not actually very good

TEAM AWARDS

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Jordan Poole, he is a tank master. ~4 TOs per game is sensational

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: None lmao, i dont think we had a guy above B- defense on the roster

MOST IMPROVED: Devin Vassel, once he got some run he turned into a decently useful role player

SIXTH MAN: Jaylen Wells, played the backup 1/2/3 all season and was decent at it, even stock to TO but horrendous efficiency was holding him back

BIGGEST SURPRISE: McCain, guys got some juice in the tank for sure. could definitely be a fire cracker 6th man in the future

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: the lotto

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: selling nerleans and okorro for futures was what i was going for. got some intriguing picks for both of them

REGRETS: idk the lotto i guess but thats luck not regret

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Cade. He’s a great scorer and now neutral ish stock:TO

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Bazley. He’s a beast in rebounding and stocks. Would just love to see him reduce the TOs a bit.

MOST IMPROVED: Jovic. I need to give him more minutes but he seems to be a very efficient scorer

SIXTH MAN: Gafford. He may need to start over Mobley. Well rounded big that does everything you’d want him to.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Anunoby. I kept trying to force a third scorer into my DCs around Hali and Cade but Cade actually seems to have enough volume to support a more defensive / stocky third player. Anunoby filled that role really well, with 2-3 stocks per TO, decent rebounding, and efficient low volume scoring. We were a more consistent winning team with him at the 3 but I didn’t make that switch until pretty late in the season.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Mobley. I keep hoping his rebounding will tick up and / or he’ll get a little stockier. He hasn’t and so I haven’t really known what to do with him. He’s still relatively young at 26 though, so I’m hoping for a late 20s / early 30s big man bump.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: my only trade was to bring back Pritchard. He’s a really nice backup PG that I shouldn’t have let go in the offseason.

REGRETS: none really. We had another year of positive momentum. Hoping to keep that rolling into this next season.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Ant. He led our team in scoring, fg%, and 3pt%. He’s top 10 in the league in steals most years. Very well rounded stud. Hoping the +5 inside freebie gets him to shoot it a bit more.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Anthony Davis. Biggest snub in SLN history for him not to get DPOY. He led the league in blocks AND rebounds. He’s the best big in modern SLN history.

MOST IMPROVED: Skal. He got up to A-/A- and was averaging over 11rpg while starting at C in the early season. He’s aging like fine win.

SIXTH MAN: Lu Dort. Provided solid defense and scoring off the bench. Efficient enough scoring. Solid role player.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: LeBron leaving. Oh well hope he enjoys seeing his son rot in the leftover free agent pool

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: LeBron leaving. Fuck that dude

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: I guess snagging Lu Dort on an MLE?

REGRETS: Not offering LeBron a multi year deal. Who would have thought he wants to keep playing into his mid 40’s

TEAM AWARDS

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Kawhi RIP --> beats out Montero because he was better but damn what a short run that was

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Sengun --> 3.9 stocks man's is an A defender and acts like it.

MOST IMPROVED: Jean the mean Montero --> good god I should've paid him more the year before when I saw flashes. Came in and just flat out was better than Harden and had to play at the 1. Great find and now is #paid

SIXTH MAN: Sexton! Great year from Sexton tbh did exactly what we needed off the bench at a pretty great efficiency until the final month when he had to play more as Harden's bum ass sat out

BIGGEST SURPRISE: on court had to be Montero coming out of nowhere. Off the court the Kawhi retirement was CRUSHING

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Has to be Harden being hurt three separate times leading to just 25 games played (which we were very good in), and thus missing the playoffs and not resetting the tank counter and an ability to tank post-Kawhi retirement

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Re-signing and playing Montero was a neat piece.

REGRETS: So so many. Most importantly not having a second birds rights guy to go all in this year and combat the tank reset. So much empty cap space. Just didn't see Kawhi retiring and thought I was fine with just Grayson as birds
