Right now the new boards only allow for 10 poll choices? ( @ashes anyway to fix? ) ....For now, i listed the 10 teams with the best records. If you think another person is MOST deserving, please post and that will count as their vote until we find a feature to add more votes.

GMs have until Tues, Mar 9 to vote. If you like, you may refer to the results of the leaguewide survey that I someone put out on GMOTY criteria.

-Anyone who votes gets 100 RPs.
-GMs get an additional 200 RPs for posting in this thread and advocating on behalf of a GM. Do not advocate on behalf of yourself!
-Do not vote for yourself.

Things to Consider:

-GM proactivity and creativity
-Success in drafting, trades, FA signings, general team building
-Production in the form of wins, losses and team stats
-Delta in team performance from year to year (or in this case, from draft to end of season).

Winner Gets:

-1,000 RPs
-Ability to add or subtract a year to any player's contract on your team. Must be done within one season.

Tiebreaker:

-If any two GMs are tied in 1st place in voting, we will do a ranked-choice procedure for them + anyone within 2 votes of the leader to determine the winner.

Was between Nolan and Nick for what I think is a pretty down year for GMOTY. Nolan's candidacy is basically just the Blake trade, which got the Rockets back into title contention, while Nick revamped his team and got way younger and still found a way to get home court. Edge goes to Nolan though for team performance and because Nick's record is better than his point differential suggests it should have been

Going with Nick. I staked my Okur return on Nick’s 2013-14 era being old and dogshit. He proved me so spectacularly wrong. Got younger and remained in the 50-win realm. Oden and Roy getting Justice in this timeline 🤞

I voted for Nick. Going into the season I thought it would be Jordo, but unexpectedly (at least, to me) the Spurs were way worse than I thought they'd be with OJ and DJ additions.

Amazing how Sonics were able to refresh and get way younger and still hit 50+ wins. Think the John Wall trade is going to be a winner long-term as well.

I voted for Nick too, I thought he got a great haul for Dirk and Diop, setting himself up for an eventual tank while keeping a very solid squad. I think its a tough year as the top teams just remained on top. I think JBurns deserves a shoutout too for retooling his roster around the trade deadline and making them a super tough out (As seen by Wes and the bullets). RB also deserves some love for taking some shots and getting Detroit back in the playoffs. Jordo had a masterful tanking year, but I don't agree with voting for tankers.

sonicks and nolans rockets both overperformed a ton. the blake trade was well planned and executed. he is a perfect fit there no doubt and congrats on returning the rockets to glory!! however sonicks traded their best player in franchise history and maybe the best player in sln history? thats an argument for another time. also traded Diop it like its hot. nick took on players like roy and oden, who some had serious questions about. both were worthy and selected with the #1 pick in their respective draft classes, which is quite the value haul for the lad. idk how he does it. nick is a proven mad scientist!
