2014-15 Offseason Questionnaire

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.

It’s a great class. JI has a last name of a future superstar gamewrecker. Didn’t mind having 12, knew I’d have some options and Kuzma seems like he could be solid

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?

It’s boring. Praise be the TC. Our goals are to not be near the bottom of FG%

3. Thoughts on TC? What improvements do you want to see from your team?

Some improvement would be cool. Would love to see the young guys continue to grow

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks if they get everyone back, Embiid good
Central: Raptors, they nice
Midwest: Jazz, running back the same team
Pacific: Suns, relatively by default

5. Who is the player you regretted most not trading for before they retired?

LeBron James, I can see the future

6. What are the best and worst non-rookie contracts in the league?

Best, Andre Drummond
Worst, Andrew Bogut

7. Recommend a trade for another team.

Last year I did the Jameer Nelson to Utah trade. This year, Chris Bosh to Vancouver for stuff

8. If you could go back in time and re-do the way you camped a player, who would it be and what would you do differently?

I wouldn’t have hit Yi’s blocks, put that 5 in offense

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).

Sigh

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.

2014-15 Offseason Questionnaire

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
Big fan of Josh Hart and Jordan Bell. Glad they're in the tree! Also think Isaac is going to be a stud. What a sick draft.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
Need to re-sign Bosh, pretty much starts and ends with that. Goals for this season.... 2x

3. Thoughts on TC? What improvements do you want to see from your team?
If Drummond and Tobias take a step forward with their B potential and everyone else holds the line, I'll be happy!

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks. This team is going to be (already is) monstrous.
Central: Looking forward to everyone picking the Raps.
Midwest: Give me the GRIZZLIES!!!! I believe!
Pacific: Suns, by default. lol

5. Who is the player you regretted most not trading for before they retired?
Unless I trade for him this season, probably Yao. My favorite player ever!

6. What are the best and worst non-rookie contracts in the league?
Best: My guy Dre
Worst: Dwight

7. Recommend a trade for another team.
Kings trade Eddie Griffin and their 8 prospects for Lebron. DO IT!!!!!!

8. If you could go back in time and re-do the way you camped a player, who would it be and what would you do differently?
This is a great question. I'd probably have kept TJones at PF/C instead of moving him to SF. I'd also probably have waited on a few players to see how they do before camping them - notably Reggie Jackson and Danuel House. Lastly, it would for sure have made him a less useful player, but would have been fun for the bit to see if we could get Drummond to A+ reb by doing +10 DReb, +10 OReb, +6 strength instead of the 8 handles, 8 blocks, 4 strength, 4 DReb I gave him.

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).
It's almost COYS season. TFG, was getting some withdrawal.

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
Reading the Century Trilogy by Ken Follett. Recommend if you're into historical fiction and 20th century Europe

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
TBH, I didnt pay any attention to this draft butwo players stood out to me. I was surprised Derick White didnt go higher than 9, Kudos to Matt this was my fav pick of the draft. I also couldn't think of a better team/player match than Josh Hart to the Kings, Jesse is going to develop him nicely.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
Big big free agency, priority is bringing back Shabazz who was the main piece that came back in the Parker deal. I also want to bring Dahntay Jones back to start at SG while Shabazz progresses into his prime.

3. Thoughts on TC? What improvements do you want to see from your team?
Dont expect much from JB who had a nice jump last camp, I expect him to stay flat like Kawhi did. Camping Tyus's outside will hopefully round him out into a really nice PG

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks, Embiid already broken
Central: Pacers, full season of Jrue
Midwest: Jazz, too much firepower
Pacific: Suns, JoBan

5. Who is the player you regretted most not trading for before they retired?
Trading for Kenny Anderson instead of Terrel Brandon set the franchise back years

6. What are the best and worst non-rookie contracts in the league?
Best: Drummond
Worst: I guess bogut

7. Recommend a trade for another team.
I dont know where but i think this is the year Lebron gets traded.

8. If you could go back in time and re-do the way you camped a player, who would it be and what would you do differently?
Would have kept Kawhi at SF and only camped offense, I would not have given him any blocks camps

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).
Malik Nabers is so good

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
I read Fire & Blood so I loved the House of the Dragon finale, the haters have no idea the level of carnage theyre about to endure in seasons 3 and 4

2014-15 Offseason Questionnaire

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
Jaylen Brown was the most automatic first pick in a few years.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
Looking for another step in the right direction this year. Even after a big move or two, don't think this is my year, but working for the following year.

3. Thoughts on TC? What improvements do you want to see from your team?
Let's make KP a star with a supercamp. Will be looking forward to preseason 1. Otherwise, interested to see where Exum's A potential takes him.

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks. Embiid is a problem
Central: Pacers. Jrue and Drummond are a monster duo.
Midwest: Jazz. Getting a little older but were so dominant last year
Pacific: Suns. Weak division this year, and Boban, livingston and jokic should win enough games to take the Pacific

5. Who is the player you regretted most not trading for before they retired?
Wish I could've gotten Shaq on the Wade Grizzlies

6. What are the best and worst non-rookie contracts in the league?
Best: Drummond
Worst: Bogut for now, but there are a lot of old guys on mega contracts who could get worse in TC

7. Recommend a trade for another team.
Magic trade Randle to an inside oriented team for a less turnover prone super sub

8. If you could go back in time and re-do the way you camped a player, who would it be and what would you do differently?
Going far back, but Chauncey probably didn't need a quickness camp
I have no idea what I'm doing with Oubre. Maybe I should've made him a SG and focused exclusively on scoring? Let's see if I get lucky

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).
Fun to watch Bears Hard Knocks even though it is trash TV.

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
HotD was enjoyable and had some good highs, but not close to was peak GOT was.

Bonus: add a pic/gif of how you feel about your season
too many prospects, not enough stars

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
Very excited about Spida. He could either be just another solid shooting guard, or he could turn into a monster. Only TC will tell! Kornet seems like a fun big man, should fare well in the NDL (plus he's a Celtics champion). Thomas Bryant is solid IRL, maybe he's better than his C draft potential and the NDL potential boosts may help.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
I made a bunch of trades to get dead weight off my roster, so I feel good coming into the second season of a tank with Beal/Spida, two rookie bigs, and lots of cap space.

3. Thoughts on TC? What improvements do you want to see from your team?
Beal to get to B- Inside, maybe even A+ Outside, show B potential. Spida to improve his Outside. Kornet/Bryant to show some signs of life.

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks - they just won it and will likely get better.
Central: Pacers - full season of Jrue.
Midwest: Jazz - won 65 games last season.
Pacific: Suns - Boban.

5. Who is the player you regretted most not trading for before they retired?
Looking at the 2017 retirees, I'd say TMac

6. What are the best and worst non-rookie contracts in the league?
Some good ones: Marvin Williams, Andre Drummond, MKG, CJ Miles, Boban

7. Recommend a trade for another team.
Lebron to anyone for a massive sack

8. If you could go back in time and re-do the way you camped a player, who would it be and what would you do differently?
Eh, I can't think of any camping methods I regret. The regrets usually revolve around having wasted camps on a bum (+24 to Kelenna Azubuike, anyone?)

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).
Celtics just won the chip! Patriots have a tough road ahead.

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
House of the Dragon had some amazing episodes (some meh ones too). Elden Ring DLC is incredible.

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
Thought Tatum and Isaac were the clear top two, Tatum only #1 because of the name. Happy with Allen, hope he gets around A-/A- in D/Reb. Liked taking Caleb Swanigan, the top rebounder in this draft class. Hope he has some sleeper potential

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
Uneventful offseason, hope to lose a lot of games because this upcoming draft class is amazing

3. Thoughts on TC? What improvements do you want to see from your team?
Now that Siakam and Wood both ticked up to A scouted pot hoping for a significant bump.

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks, Embiid could be the best player in the league this upcoming year
Central: Pacers, assuming they retain Bosh. If they don't then Raptors
Midwest: Jazz, surprised they didn't win this year. Incredible front court and Marvin is special.
Pacific: Suns, fun trade with the Kings. Boban

5. Who is the player you regretted most not trading for before they retired?
Terrell Brandon, imagine him paired with a young Ray Allen and Tim Duncan. Bummer that whole Lindsey Hunter thing happened

6. What are the best and worst non-rookie contracts in the league?
Best: MKG, Marvin
Worst: Dwight, Bogut, Wall

7. Recommend a trade for another team.
Chris Paul for Derrick Rose

8. If you could go back in time and re-do the way you camped a player, who would it be and what would you do differently?
Tim Duncan (blocks and D Reb were maxed), he got +8 stealing, +8 inside, +6 strength, +4 offensive rebounding
Should have been: +10 jumpshot, +10 Strength, +6 Off Reb

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).
Excited for Jayden Daniels and a new coaching staff for the Redskins. We've had the worst linebackers in the league since London Fletcher retired. Ready for Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu to stop some people. Nats have some fun young guys. Wizards need to tank hard, I have a bad feeling Kuzma and Poole will try to not let that happen

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
Enjoying our NCAA dynasty with Ashes, Heimer, and Merv.

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.

We actually had real picks this year! Paid attention to the draft for the first time in a while. Really really excited about the three guys that I brought in - rolled Potential on Dillon Brooks in his scouting, and Frank Ntilikina scouted excellently, so was very happy to get him on an NDL contract as a teenager. If he has some potential and gets good dice rolls in the NDL, I actually think he could end up the best of the three.

I thought Tatum was the clear 1, and liked Isaac at 2 as well. I scouted Fultz and Lonzo, expecting one or both to be available to me at 9, but neither was - I'm not sure I'd have taken them if they fell to me. De"Aaron Fox was very tempting at 9, but at the end of the day I got scared by the combo of high quickness and bad handles. I think that even though he definitely has superstar upside, there's a decent chance he's unplayable.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?

Really happy with my draft - although I'm sure we'll manage to have a typical horrible Bulls TC. I'm not being super aggressive in FA - there's basically only one guy that I really want to poach. We'll hopefully suck a little more this year, get a top pick, and be able to win some games the following season.

3. Thoughts on TC? What improvements do you want to see from your team?

Would love to see some marked improvement from the young guys, but if RoCo can develop a bit more and stay on the SF development path, I'll be really happy. First TC in a while where I'll be excited to see the results!

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks. Embiid should only get better, which is terrifying
Central: Definitely not us! Toughest division in the league, I guess I have to go with the champs. Raps and Hawks will be tough too.
Midwest: Timbywolves. Only a matter of time before KAT develops and this team is unstoppable
Pacific: Boban

5. Who is the player you regretted most not trading for before they retired?

I mean, KD, though he hasn't retired yet. As a Bulls fan I really wish I had more of the early Bulls - Joakim Noah, Andres Nocioni, etc.

6. What are the best and worst non-rookie contracts in the league?

RoCo! I think Bogut's deal is pretty rough, although at least he's useful on the court. Just a ton of money.

7. Recommend a trade for another team.

Ugh so much research.

Lebron

For

Josh Hart
Eddie Griffin
All those Pistons picks

8. If you could go back in time and re-do the way you camped a player, who would it be and what would you do differently?

Gorgui probably coulda used a Handle camp. But it's honestly been a while since I've camped people - I think RoCo was camped the right way for the most part.

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).

Bears on Hard Knocks! I always thought it was super weird how much Pats fans loved talking about how handsome Tom Brady is, and then I had to watch a 15 minute segment on Matt Eberflus' glow up. There's no doubt about it - I am ready to be hurt again.

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
Rewatching Thrones after the underwhelming HoD ending. It's really insane how much better Thrones is than HoD.
