Rasheed Wallace - HOFER - Bucks
Dearly beloved SLN GMs, fans, former players, any other audience members within our fake universe, we are here today to welcome in Rasheed "Ball Don't Lie" Wallace into the SLN HOF. A true two way tweener, the OG Myles Turner PF converted to SF mold, Rasheed has shown the league how dominant two way players can be with his hyper efficient scoring coupled with rebounding and defensive abilities only few have possessed. And now he joins Ben Wallace as the second Wallace in the hall of fame. Excited to see Ashes create an overpowered Wallace Gromit in the 2035 draft to join these jokesters.
Rasheed Wallace was a creation draft player, taken with the third pick in the second round as a rookie by the Bucks. He immediately made his presence felt, averaging 17.8 PPG, 10.8 boards, and 2.4 stocks to 1.1 turnovers (though had some work to do on his shooting efficiency - only 42.1% from the field and 25.7% from 3). As a rookie, he made the all-star team and the second all-defense team. He cotniued to make all-stars and all league third teams with the bucks, and helped the Bucks make and win two finals in 2000 and 2001 alongside Jason Kidd, Glen Rice, and Antawn Jamison (looking back at that Bucks team holy cow stacked). Though his highest producing season with the bucks was his third year where he averaged 26.2 PPG, some would argue his most efficient season with them came in 2001, their repeat title year, where he averaged the following.
2001 Bucks 77 33.3 466 980 .476 424 538 .788 27 60 .450 9.9 1.0 0.9 2.0 1.0 6 18.0
He moved to the twin city of Chicago in the 2003 season where his responsibilities to do more rose as he was paired with Tony Parker and some other guys. His PPG from 2002 to 2003 went up by 5 PPG, and his efficiency never dipped with the increase in volume. His best season of all time came with the Bulls in 2005 where he averaged the following.
2005 Bulls 79 35.6 832 1727 .482 601 692 .868 90 256 .352 9.3 1.5 1.4 1.4 1.3 1 29.8
He spent 5 seasons in Chicago, but was unable to help that team advance to the finals. In his run with the bulls (get it), he made the allstar game two more times. In 2007, he was moved in a big deal to the Knicks, but he was past his prime there, averaging about 20 PPG on 47.4% shooting. He played one season with the Twovles then ended his career with a season in Orlando where he only played 21 games.
Rasheed was a special player who started his career on a pretty stacked team but always stood out as one of the more efficient two way players this league has seen. He played his early days as a PF. Then, Matt did a fun thing by converting him to a SF in 2003, which really turned up his scoring prowess. Sometimes SLN players make GMs look great, sometimes GMs make SLN players look great, in this instance, I'd say both happened.
Rasheed Wallace - congrats on officially becoming an SLN HOF-er, may you yell ball dont lie at whoever walks in front of you. Now please fellow GMs, vote if his jersey should be retired as a Buck (7 seasons, two championships) or as a Bull (5 seasons, peak performance).

As a Chicagoan, if Milwaukee is our twin, then NYC’s twin is Newark.
