The incomplete but useful and fun SLN single game record books
Greetings from LeBronto, where head coach LaDon Gola has just called me to tell me the Raptors are descending into RP poverty. Yeah that's right. All you guys who once told me to trade you some RP "just because" like 18 months ago, you hoes owe me now. We're poor. Business is bad. We just got bounced in the first round and then traded a bunch of real shit for what might be an over-the-hill superstar. Reparations are in order if you ask me!!!
Regardless — I will be producing content again after using my IRL off-season to not do that.
Had the idea the other day to comb through the team history pages and compile a list of best single-game performances. We can see the all-time records in the league history index, but not the breadth of great performances. I'm gonna gather them in one place here for everyone to enjoy. Doing this by hand was annoying.
This is an imperfect process as I can only work off each team's record total in assembling this - there are certainly some great games lost in the ether (aka I'm not going through all the history for this), but it's still a nice point of reference and a way to remember some fellas.
Here are the Top 10 or so performers in each of these categories, based on the records we do have readily available.
