Lots of stuff here! lots of graphs so think just linking to the google doc is easier.

I have all the data through 2010 in two CSVs (one for player data and one for team data) so if anyone is interested in expanding on this lemme know and i can shoot over the data! Also, it's super easy for me to do more analysis if this begets more questions so feel free to reach out.
Please remember that in business school grades don't matter and it took forever to get all the data in, so I was very much trying to get to the finish line here lol.

awesome! I wonder how much of the rebounding correlation is that winning teams make more of their shots (fewer opponent defensive boards) and force contested shots for their opponents (more defensive boards for winning team)

Great stuff! Makes sense there’s a correlation between FG% and assists but interesting it doesn’t really translate to 3FG%.
Will be interested to see the team building ramifications of this data

The Celtics are officially a MattyBall organization. We are firing our scouts and worshipping at the Church of Billy Hannessbean from here on outMerv wrote: March 6th, 2024, 12:54 pm Great stuff! I think this is true but that pace and possessions have more influence. The FG% delta between the best team and the worst team is only 4%, but the offensive possessions range is like 3x thatJosh wrote: March 6th, 2024, 12:43 pm awesome!
