Allstar All SLN Team Matchup: Pt2 The recruitment
Welcome back gents! 2 years of SLN, two full decades of seasons… and it’s still getting dusty with nostalgia over here in the historian’s office. Its time for another All Time SLN team matchup. Last October, Jayant and I got on separate pod teams comprised of fellow GMs and drafted our super teams. Now, Mantypas and I will clash once more as the two great wings of the historians office. A series of 7 games to once again get Dirk the best of the best out into our box scores once more! We are recruiting for a podcast next week so that we can get Ashes our DCs before next weekend for a sim. If you would like to join the pod, shoot manty or I a text. We will be poding Wednesday or Thursday evening.
ALLSTAR DRAFT CRITERIA
Each team will draft 12 players from a list to be provided next week
The 5 starters need to have one PG and one Big Butt. Other than that, go nuts. (dont break standard DC rules)
The bench must have (one guard, one wing, one Big) besides that, go nuts.
The two teams will set their full DCs with their players, style, etc
The year for each player will be preselected by the Historians, below. This will also be the year we use for the players ratings

Team J is comprised of so many SLN Goats! Hakeem, Yao, Dirk, Kobe, and JKidd! What a ridiculous starting roster. Ray Allen, Sheed, Marion, Zo, and Duncan off the bench. Idk how this team lost!

KG, Manu, Lebron, Steve Nash, and MJ... Nevermind this is such a fun sim! Shaq, twan, AI, Big Ben off the bench. Lets get it!
Game 1:
Team J absolutely destroys Team C at their stadium by 39 points. Dirk unloaded on his Father for 36 pts and 13rebs with 11/22 FG and 13 points from the line. 4 other players dropped 20+; Kobe (25) Yao (23) and JKidd (20). Yao led the charge in a THRASING on the boards with 21 rebounds. TJ (Team Jayant) out rebounded TC 81-47... Yeesh. Thats all she wrote in game one.
Game 2:
The come back! Down 18 points at halftime, King Manu leads a fiery second half with 39pts. Young Lebron absolute shows out with 20/18. TC had 6 players scoring in double digits and they squeeked out a win on the boards too. Despite the onslaught of scoring from Dirk (34), JKidd(30), and Hakeem (27), TJ was not able to pull it out after getting run over in the third quarter. Series all tied up 1-1.
Game 3:
TJ puts on a beat down on TC once again with a 16 point beat down in game 3 at home. Dirk Scores 30 again! man cant be stopped. Jkidd was two boards away from a triple double (28/14/8) and Kobe dropped 30. I feel like TJ's team is just too electric. Once they get the scores going its game over for TC.
Game 4:
Revenge of TC. Second bounce back win after a thrashing. a 14 point victory on the road gives TJ a taste of their own medicine. Dirk is held under 30 for the first time this series as Steve Nash goes off for 37! Another victory where the team had 6 scorers in double digits. Kobe and JKidd foul out in a loss that ties up the series 2-2.
Game 5:
The last game in TJs side of the Office. TC steals another one point victory. I wonder whose taking these clutch buckets cuz 6 players once again scored in the double digits. Manu, KG, and Nash all scored 25+. Despite Dirk trying to solo, scoring 38 shotting 60% from three, TJs were once again steam rolled in one quarter. Out scored by nearly 20 in the 4th, TJ finds himself on the brink of elimination, down 2-3 and heading on the road.
Game 6:
TJ gets his revenge! Another 1 point victory in this series, but TK gets this one. Ray Allen goes off for 34 and JKidd drops 30/18/8, giving Dirk the help he needed all series long to close this thing out. Michael Jordan has his highest scoring game in the series, dropping 35. This is all cooking up to a crazy, juicey game 7 for all the marbles.
Game 7:
Another close game! Game 7 goes to OT. This would have been the most electric game of all time. KG has his staple game with 34/11, leading TC to a 7 point victory in overtime! Onve again, 6 players on TC scored double digits in a win. What an ending to a fantastic series
